Ive attempted to do Tr's in the past and it never goes well.
I love reading other members reports and Think some of you maybe missed your true calling in life and should consider a Career Writing For Travel Publications.

Heres my humble attempt .Hope you enjoy it.
Be forewarned, I have an Odd sense of humor and Mean no harm.....Im usally the Butt of my own Jokes! Im also a lousy speller..expect tons of edits.
So A few Years back after several trips to Wdw in a short period of time we decided to buy into the Dvc.
We were going every year anyway and After talking to The Timeshare Store people we bought a contract at Akv.It was Literally 1/2 price from what Dvc told us at the Local mall.
We have stayed at OKW and SSR since Buying into The Dvc and we are all really Excited to Finally stay at Our Home resort of Akv!
My son is really excited to use the Water park !
These came in the Mail last week. Love going to the mailbox after a Long day and seeing that envelope!..We are actually staying at Kidani Village so after a Phone call we got the correct Luggage tags in the mail yesterday.
This is our cast of for this trip... My Wife Dianna who I met ,fell in love with and ,married in one years time 20 years ago. We are happy and still very much in love.Shes works Really hard at her Job and Recently Began a Boot Camp Workout several Times a week.
My daughter Amanda, 18 .Shes a brilliant young lady attending a good college on a generous scholarship and very funny...most of the time. 18 is a rough age on Dads.
My Son Jake 7. Sweet and funny as anyone youd ever meet. Poor kid was having some issues and we discovered he was Adhd a few years back.Youd never know it unless you asked him to do something and realize that he was having a tough time processing too much information. After a few failed attempts we found the right combination of parenting, Teachers and meds to get the kid back on track.He made amazing strides over the last 18 months and is now on or above level in all his subjects.
We know parents who need and get their ADHD kids Gacs ..Jake dosent have The Hyper active component so we dont feel like its something we need for Him.
Last but not least Me. Todd. 46 year old kid. This was taken a few years back...Ive Gotten fatter if you can believe that...I work 40 hour weeks doing I.T. work for a Telecomm. company In The Northeast and freelance as a Musician on the weekends. Lotsa Weddings, Casinos and Nightclubs for me.....all of which contribute to my pants not fitting properly.
Free food and alcohol every where I go........well, that and NO will power is a bad combo.
Im smart enough to know how lucky I am to have these People in my life . Amen!

Weekend Me...Richie Sambora In a Bon Jovi Tribute band ( HEY! Jon Bon Jovi..Im ready to step in if you and Richie cant work it out) and Freelance wedding/corporate guitar slinger..Its usually lotsa fun However, once in awhile you come across people who were "over-Served" at the event and they wanna show you the 3 songs they know on your really expensive Guitar...Or pick a fight with the Brides Brother..or throw a Bottle at an ex boyfreind.. Or make Rude/lude comments to The Wives and Girlfriends of the band..Man, I could Write a Book.
This Is Me getting close to my Favorite Disney Girl!! She was SO in love with me...Poor thing.
Well...truth be told...I have a little crush on Jasmine ! She didnt care much when I told her.....Oh well.
Amanda had plans for her boyfriend to Join us for this trip But after spending some time over the Easter/spring break doing work for Habitat for Humanity decided that she wanted to be free for her college years and I think she made a great choice. They broke up a few weeks ago . Shes much smarter than I was at 18.
Greeting Amanda at JFK after 10 days with Habitat For Humanity..
We called Disney and explained the situation. They allowed us to use the Ex boyfriends portion of the money and we refunded him the difference. Nice Kid we wish him well in life.
We were also able to save some points by downsizing from a 1 bedroom to a Studio....NICE!
So the plans are In Place . We are flying southwest to Mco on August 24th to spend 7 nights 8 days at Akv in a Studio with Safari view.
Airfares seem really High this year and to compensate we are flying out later than our usual 6:20 a.m. flight..Itll be nice to have breakfast at home before we go.
We are buying annual Passes and will Return within the year so we can get two full weeks out of them.
After several trips on the DDP we decided that it was Just way too much food and we were really tired of the adr 180 day in advance nonsense that we use to allow to rule the trip.
We are doing the regular Dining plan and made only one adr for the entire week. The Fantasmic Dining Package with a Meal at Mama Melroses.
First Time For Fantasmic for any of us. We ate at mamas last year and really loved it!
To our surprise we Realized that My brother and his family will be there at the same time as us . Hes leaving the day after we arrive But we have plans to meet up for rides, Fireworks and Fun at Mk on the day we arrive. They are great people and we have all become close friends over the years.
My son Really Loves his uncle and we are hoping he will be a little more fearless in his ride choices with a little encouragement from uncle Bill.
I guess the best part about the dvc for us is That we have slowed down considerably on our trips. That sense of urgency has faded and we dont feel like we have to do rope to rope days for the whole week.
Lots of pool time for us this year!
This will be Jakes first trip without a Stroller and his stamina will determine how late we stay at the parks....Ill be taking My backpack everywhere we go and will miss be able to use the Stroller as a Luggage rack of sorts.
Glad we are finally out of the baby stage.
So the suitcases are coming out of the attic this weekend and we already made a few minor purchases for the trip.
What a great way to end the summer!!
