Less monorail maintenance this year?

It seems like this time last year there were lots of first-hand accounts of the monorail being shut down for various amounts of time. I just saw that it was being shut down today for a couple hours but this is the first I'm hearing about anything in a while. Is it just not as publicized as it was last year or is it not happening as much?

They have been doing quite a few maintenance things with the monorail this year actually if I remember correctly. Maybe not as much as last year but definately have had numerous things mentioned. They have all been mentioned on here at some point but I don't have the links on hand.

Most of the system shut downs are for installation of the new automation system, not necessarily the trains themselves.

Most of the time, it's been for testing or installing the TCS automated system. There was one time that there was some sort of leak at the contemporary, but that wasn't necessarily "maintenance" for the monorails.

Speaking from experience, it is much harder and more complex to install an automation system to an existing rail line, rather than installing it with a new line.

Thankfully, the Monorails TCS systems are being installed quicker than the first one, now that the installers know the system more, and they have worked out the kinks. Similarily to installing something custom in a car, once you do it, next time it's quicker.

Over the last two weeks, I think the Express monorail was up twice when we arrived after 10am. Twice.......that's only one more than once.......
