The runtime of Muppet Vision 3D is 15:34, 31:01 with the preshow.

HISTA is 14:08, 24:53 with the preshow.

TTBAB doesn't have a preshow, and is about 8 minutes, as John said.

Now how long was Legend of the Lion King? My last visit was in 1998.

And how large was the theater? I seem to remember reading that it was going to swallow a fairly large amount of people with ease, more than the other 3D theaters. I think my last visit to LLK was in 1999 so I'm a little foggy there also...

there were 2 theaters for llk the first "Pre show" one where you stood and rafiki talked to you and then the "main theater" where you sat and they had the puppet thingies

Do you remember approximate seating capacity though? That's what I'm having trouble with. Although, if they completely gutted the building (which would be in classic Disney redesign style) then the seating capacity of LLK would be absolutely irrelevant to the seating capaticy of MP.

I don't think I've ever seen any CGI from Disney. Any examples I can check out?

If you're looking for the full-CGI stuff, look at Fantasia 2000, the "Pines of Rome" (the flying whales) and "Stedfast Tin Soldier" sequences are done in CGI. Interesting side note: The Stedfast Tin Soldier sequence was being made even before Toy Story was released!

Of course, Disney has always used CGI images in their movies for quite a while, ever since "The Great Mouse Detective" where the gears in Big Ben were made in CGI. Tons of props in various traditional animated Disney films are made in CGI format, but are somehow done up to look like they were traditionally animated. Of course, nowadays with movies like Atlantis and Treasure Planet, the boundary line between the CGI stuff and the 2D characters and stuff is getting to be a bit more obvious.

Sorry if you knew that already but I'd just thought I'd mention that CGI is no stranger to Disney animation :)

I know from the park maps (how reliable is that?) that Muppet is aprox. 25 minutes, Hista is 20 minutes and i know for a fact that ITTBAB is around 8-10 minutes...

For Muppets, the park maps must have included some queue time. According to the full soundtrack, even with the complete unload, runs several minutes under 20. :)

Maybe, I missed something somewhere along the line but...
I know the show stars Donald...
But it's MICKEYS philharmagic...

I've always loved the mouse, is he going to have a roll in the attraction that bears his name??

YEAH! Why don't they call it "GRIZZLY'S PHILHARMAGIC?" Hmph!

LOL, jk. :) We'll just have to wait and see, Davis!

I believe that the original configuration of the FL Theatre (when the Mickey Mouse Revue resided there) was about 500. Whether that changes for Philharmagic is yet to be known. Do we know if there is a pre-show area or was that area combined with the original theatre?

As far as the length of the show, an Imagineer I met on the Disney Magic had seen the show, thought it was incredible and way to short. That was his only criticism.

Does anybody know how long LLK was? I seem to remember it being about this long but I'm not totally sure. I can see why they would want to keep Philharmagic short, so that more can see it. Maybe once this opens the lines at the other Fantasyland attraction will thin out a little. Last week I waited 20 minutes to ride small world which for me is a record.

Trying to remeber Legend of the Lion King. It was the greatest thing. I thought it was about 15 minutes maybe a little longer. I know it was a about the same capacity as CBJ. I remember always thinking there weren't many rows back, but they were fairly long.

I don't know if you guys have already heard about this, but I just read it at animatedmovies.com and it really got me worried:

Much of the 3-D character animation for Walt Disney World's upcoming Mickey's PhilharMagic was reportedly so bad--in particular Ariel from The Little Mermaid--that it had to be reanimated by 2-D animators, then transferred into the computer.

I'm not doubting the attraction's quality since they are fixing it in time before it opens, but with all the talks of traditional animators being fired, and such talk as Twice Upon a Christmas being all CGI and Eisner wanting to redo Peter Pan and Pinocchio in 3D, doesn't this serve as a huge, neon-lit, bullhorn "WATCH OU!!!!" warning for those dumbarse execs?
