Len Testa - “Disney positions itself as the all-American vacation. The irony is that most Americans can’t afford it.”

I agree that there is greater food variety and quality in quick service these days, but table service has suffered under the dining plan forced homogeneity and profit margin shaving (aka ingredient quality decreased to support DDP value maximizers).

There are still some very good TS options (things like Toledo, etc) but I agree that some of them have had the menus dumbed down a bit over the years

If you get the chance go over and check out the "Quick Service" options in the Harry Potter lands at Universal. I think the pricing and quality there is really awesome and is one of my favorite spots for quick service type of food. The food court at Cabana Bay is pretty incredible as well. Just as a comparison to the offerings at Disney. Marie
Only problem is then I would have to eat British """""food""""

Show me anywhere in the midwest (excepting Chicago) where you can get a flight for less than $400 per person, plus bags and then transportation once you are there. $2-3k additional for a family of 4.
I can’t…because I’m an east coaster 🤪

I believe max is too…

Our flight costs due to more traffic and airport choices are typically $150 to maybe $400 (peak) to the O-town

Yes for those who got in early its a steal. My best friend his Dad bought when it 1st was offered. No brainer now. Im not denying prices are out of control but i also dont think they are impossible but that 40k number definitely could scare people away
I got in 10+ years after it was a REAL steal…

But also when the rate went up at a reasonable clip. They blew that doors off that the last 15 or so years. Exploitive and typical of the weasel

Oh been to Universal, was just at Epic. Those areas are rather good - especially in Epic. Epic overall has quite good food. The other parks, outside of HP leave a lot to be desired

Just think Disney has improved a lot too - AK overall has some amazing food options (Sautu'li, Tiffins, Nomad, etc), Coronado has a ton, lots of place and a ton more variety than 10-20 years go
And yet Pizzafari still exists.

Yup ... Early this summer we did round trip for $110.50/person

One reason we do Florida so often is lots of relatively cheap prices (unless you want to go winter break as everyone wants to go somewhere warm)

And if I fly in march for when my universal trip is next year instead of driving, it’s between 500 and 700 round trip.
I cannot find a single flight suggestion on google in either my local airport (Syracuse) or JFK for more than $350 roundtrip for all of march. Not saying you're wrong but I don't know where you're looking. Average price is about $200 which yeah... its spring break. It's gonna be busy and pricier.

95%+ flight are not like that. Let’s not cherry pick to make a poor point.

My flight was less than $200 as well from New York. Most of the places I looked at were giving me very decently priced flights in the US

New York Area Airport (EWR, LGA, JFK) to MCO Non-Stop Standard Economy No Checked Bag per person.

Low Cost Carrier - Spirit, Frontier <$200 Round Trip
South West $200-$300 (With connections)
Legacy Carrier - United, Delta, American, Jet Blue $200-400 Round Trip

waiting for Ryan air to come to the US.

Yes to me thats one of their biggest mistake. No need to be greedy with the DVC. You had lifelong customer stream built in people basically locked in & he got stupid and by many reports its catching up to him
