Le Cellier vs. California Grill

Hi everyone? I've heard the California Grill is wonderful, but it's two dining credits. I'm wondering is Le Cellier a good substitute or should we make room for both!:D

Any opinions? I've never been to either, so any info is appreciated.

This is a very popular topic on these boards. A quick search will bring up a significant amount of information. You might even check out each establishments menus.

Have a great trip!!

I've heard food-wise they are pretty comparable. However, when you take into account the view of California Grill, that restaurant obviously is in a whole different league. It depends on what you're looking for most. We can't afford CG this trip but are going to dine at Le Cellier and expect it to be one of our best meals during our trip.

 I knew someone would feel the need to scold me!

Just so you know, I did search the boards for this exact topic and -no matches.

KHunter thank you very much for your reply! :) I've been wondering if a lot of it was location, location.

Scolding would have included a :fork: and five minutes in time out. :D

We have dined at Le Cellier a number of times and have enjoyed it each time. It is so popular now, that at times, its almost impossible to get into.

Thanks everyone! I've read reviews and menus extensively! I just can't decide!

I think I do need to go to both!!

Do you want good food, or are you just impressed by a view? Because the California Grill may be the most overrated restaurant at WDW. It's not bad, but so many similar-level locations have much better food (Jiko, Citricos, Le Cellier, Bistro de Paris, Artist Point, just to name a few).

Agree that Jiko, AP are better, but CG is still pretty good. In addition to the eclectic menu (flatbreads, sushi, cali american) they do have an extensive wine list, the view and the overall atmosphere is nicer than Le Cellier. If you can try both. If not, I'd say save the credit for a character breakfast or something, and stick with Canada. FWIW.
