I'm not the biggest Le Cellier fan, but I saw a post on another forum saying that the classic mushroom risotto served with the filet has been swapped out for a pea risotto with mushrooms. I'm just curious if anyone has had it, has any opinions on it, has any pics of it, etc.

I wish they would stop messing around with fan favs in the restaurants, first they got rid of the mashed potatoes, ugh LOL Im interested in what people think of the new risotto too.

I had the new risotto 2 weeks ago--and the only word I can use to describe it is DIVINE. Like spring on a plate.

Edit: There weren't any mushrooms in the pea risotto. I love mushrooms, but didn't feel their absence took away from the meal. It was simply fantastic.

Edited again: I'll be dining at Le Cellier again this Friday night, and will likely order the same dish again; I'll remember to take a picture this time!!

I totally agree! This annoys me. First Ohana now my FAVORITE mushroom risotto. I might try it, though, based on Tiggerish's recommendation. I've crossed Ohana off the list unless the chicken comes back.

The waitress told me that now that they're a signature, the chef has a lot more leeway with changing up the menu, which stimulates the creativity of the kitchen. They all seemed very excited about it, which hopefully bodes well for us diners. :)

That's an excellent point. As a signature, you really do expect new things from the kitchen.

I was wrong, there were some mushrooms on the filet; just a few of them used as garnish, and they were pickled or something, so they didn't really add to the dish.

As promised, here's a photo. Excuse it, it was taken with my phone:

Hubby really enjoyed the meal (we both did). He had the charcuterie for an appetizer, I had the Caesar salad, and we both had the filet.

The menu seems almost entirely new, and everything on it was tempting.

Oh I am really excited about this ADR. I was going to book Flying Fish my favorite but, I felt like I need to try a new one and I've been tempted about this one for a while now because of the cheese soup. Looks really good.
