Hey all, The fiance and I are going on a 10 night stay in orlando. Can't wait!!! Obviously for 10 nights were not going to bring 11 outfits. The hotel were staying at (courtyard lake buena vista at marriott village) has laundry rooms so we will be using those. Do you bring your detergent or buy it when you get into orlando? Or do you have some other suggestions...thanx

I just hit the dollar store and buy a small bottle (usually 5 loads) of detergent and take it with me. I don't like the powder or tablet kind. Saves from having to spend more on a bigger bottle, that you would probably just leave behind instead of take with you.

I take detergent. I pre-measure into zip-lock bags before I go and it's ready.

I do the same... I pre-measure dry detergent into ziplock bags...and toss in a couple of dryer sheets as well...

I bring one of those collapseable laundry hampers and keep it set up in the hotel room--then I use that to haul our laundry to the laundry facilities... I usually take a book and my cell phone so my family can reach me... And some coffee I made in the room! I do laundry once per trip... Even though we only go for a little over a week...I have three small children who tend to mess up at least one outfit a day... and we try to pack light because it's just DH and I hauling suitcases for our family of 5... the oldes is only 6... I don't mind getting up early one morning to do laundry before everyone else wakes up...

Best wishes! :) :D We honeymooned at WDW back in 1994. :)

The first time we went I took my own but on this last trip I just bought it in the laundry room at Wilderness Lodge. I spent a few dollars more but it was one less thing to remember to take.

Target carries a small bottle of Tide in their travel/trial size section. It's only $1, contains detergent for about 4 loads of laundry, and it includes a measuring cup. When it's empty, just rinse it out and refill it from your larger bottle at home. I assume othe major stores carry something similar.

At home I just keep it in a ziplock bag in my suitcase, as the only time I'd need it would be when I'm travelling. (And most of those travels are to WDW...) So it's right there when I'm packing for a trip.

I buy the Tide "travel" bottle from target and they also sell very small bottles of concentrated All detergent in that section too (the All bottles look like sample bottles of shampoo or body wash but, they are 3x concentrated so each bottle does 2 loads). I bring my own fabric softner sheets too because my DS has very sensitive skin and can only use certain detergents and fabric softners or he breaks out in hives or a rash.
