Do the WDW value resorts, pop century resort in particular, have laundry facitlities for guests? I have learned not to carry so many clothes if I can wash what i have once while i am visiting. Thanks for your responses!:p

Every resort I've been to has laundry facilities. My advice is to bring your own detergent and softener/dryer sheets as these are expensive there. If you can bring a roll of quarters too because its $2/load of wash and you will need at least 2 cycles (probably more) thru the dryer. They have change machines and soap machine available if you would rather do it that way.

I usually try to get the wash done late at night when the kids are in the shower or during out afternoon break. Mornings and evenings tend to be crowded.

Yep...Pop has laundry facilities right next to the 90s buildings in front of the computer pool. (I know because I had a nice view of it on my trip in May... )

Buy the laundry detergent tablets before you leave home, and pack them in a plastic ziplock bag, right along with the dryer sheets. You'll save time and money that way. I always used to get up VERY early and do the laundry before it got too crowded - I just brought a good book with me, and soaked up that early-morning Disney atmosphere in peace. ;)

pop century has laundry facilities by each pool. i washed my clothes in my room but the sink is small but i used to leave the clothes in soak in the bath while i was in the parks coz i took soap powder over with me; i used the dryer by the hippie dippie pool - but if feels as if they take forever to dry. each cycle for washing and drying takes "30 minutes".
i only used the dryer to dry my jeans after i had washed them in my room and left them to dry for 2 days coz it got cold which is what i expected i used it to warm my clothes that had been drying for the day i came home.

each machine costs $2 in quaters. each cycle lasts 30 minutes. soap powder (tide and others) is available i think it costs $1-2.

what i would do is put my stuff in of a morning get my breakfast then get my clothes.

on the map that you get when you check-in it shows where the laundry areas are.

hope that helps.

Hit the dollar store for a $1 bottle of All detergent that will do 5 loads. Have a roll of quarters with you. Some say you need a full 2 drying cycles, but your clothes will be mostly dry and if you wash them at night, you can always hang them in your bathroom to dry the rest of the way overnight. Or use a machine that someone has time left on, that they are finished with. Also if you decide to do laundry at a busier time(like at night) try to choose the dryers in the center, as opposed to the outside ones, they usually dry faster.

An idea

We stayed at the CBR in December 4-9, 2004, and used their laundry facilities there. It was a little bit of a walk but not bad. A little walking is good for you, afterall! But anyway, on other trips I have taken, we used some of those Purex tabs which were like condensed powdered detergent. I bought a package at the grocery store and they were very handily in little 2 packs. I'm not even sure if those are made anymore, but they are very handy. I remember using some at my parents' timeshare.

To echo what some other people said, you can also just buy little single-use boxes of detergent for like $.50 or something and if you buy a 2-pack of dryer sheets, you might be able to pawn off an extra one to someone else doing their laundry and just sell them your unused one for half-price. You win, they win, hooray.

Yes, that's the brand I brought along with us, too, and they traveled very easily! ;)
