Late October/Early November?

Questions for fall trips! We're thinking of doing a longer stay (3 weeks, staying offsite) in 2015, from October25- November 14th.

Has anyone been there in late Oct/early November? Crowd calendars suggest that it's a good time to go, and I THINK we'll be able to get into one of the early MVMCP - but will the Christmas lights and all that be up and lit that early?

I'd really love to be able to hit both Halloween AND Christmas stuff on one trip!

I should be good with crowds. I will say though to avoid Epcot on the weekends due to the food and wine festival ending. Also that closing weekend is a marathon. Other than that u should be fine! Low waits and low crowds!

The crowd calendar looks pretty good for your dates!

When we went in mid-November, the resort decorations were going up mid-trip. WL & Contemporary were done by the end of our trip, while GF was still being put up. The park decorations will be up. The Christmas party starts on the 7th, and the Osbourne lights the 8th, so you should be able to catch everything! :)

The only major things the OP would miss are the Holidays Around the World activities at Epcot, including the IllumiNations Holiday Finale and the Candlelight Processional, which typically won't start until the day after Thanksgiving.

Are those the dates for this year or for 2015?

Oh I'm sorry! I should have read the dates more carefully, those are for this year.

That's okay! I was just wondering if you had secret info! ;)

I checked for the last several years and called a CM friend just to be safe, I think we'll be okay for MVMCP and seeing the lights. We'll miss the Epcot stuff, but we can do that on another trip someday.

Thanks for all the info, everyone!
