Late May or Early June

We want to visit but were told to avoid Memorial Day weeks and there is something called Gay Days to avoid in June. Also we want to visit before most K-12 schools get out for summer. Any advice??

Do you have children? If not, mid-May would be better than late May. Many southern schools finish the year the Friday before Memorial Day and the crowds pick up the last week of May. The first two weeks of June will be busy as more schools let out. June tends to be rainier than May as well.

I agree that the earlier in May that you can go, the better - for both weather and crowds.

As for avoiding WDW just because of Gay Days, not touching that.

I would try for mid-May, by the end of May/beginning of June the schools down south are releasing for the summer so you would get those crowds which you mentioned you would like to avoid.

We have been late May and early June loved both. Over the past 2 years crowds have picked up, but nothing terrible. As far as June avoiding it because of gay days wouldn't even think of it. Great time to go.
