Late check-out in November?

Is it possible? Our flight isn't till 6PM and I was thinking of hitting EPCOT for a last hurray at the paks. I'd like to come back to the room to freshen up before checking out, probably around 2PM.

Possible, not likely or no way?

The good news is, if you don't already know, Bell Services at your hotel will hold your bags when you DO check out. If you're going to the airport via Disney Magical Express, they'll handle everything. If you're driving home or getting home by other means than the airport, they'll hold your bags until you come get them, they'll My recommendations are one of these three (well, two and a half). They're not the best, but neither am I...

1: Get back to the room by 12:30 if, as others have said, 1pm is the latest they can do a late checkout so you can do a quick freshen-up before you need to am-scray.

2: Check out in the morning before you go to Epcot, let Bell Services take your bags and store them. Pack some kind of overnight bag to keep with you at Epcot, with a few additional toiletries, change of a t-shirt and maybe shorts or extremely sheer pants, something you could easily bring without being much of a hassle. When/if you go back to the hotel to get your bags, use one of the restrooms by the lobby to freshen up. One thing you can (usually) say about Disney bathrooms, they're well maintained and the stalls are usually of a decent size. Use a stall to change your shirt (and shorts/pants if you chose to pack 'em), wash your face and be on your way.

2.5: I don't know which hotel you're residing, but since you're going to Epcot, you could opt to walk out of International Gateway, walk to Beach Club and use the restrooms there. I did this one trip on our last day. We were driving, so we drove to the Beach Club, parked there, went into Epcot via IG, then left and had lunch at Beaches & Cream, then cleaned up in their restroom. The restrooms are stocked with washcloths instead of paper towels, so it's much easier to wash your face, get the sunscreen off if you choose to. You may also want to use that time to do some last minute shopping or snacking in any of the Epcot hotels (we had a bunch of leftover snack credits, and bought some of the pre-packaged candy and pretzels, stuff that would keep, for the ride home). Once you're done, if you're not at or near your resort, boat to the Hollywood Studios and catch a bus back to your resort to get your gear or meet your Magical Express bus.

The latest check out we have received is 1pm at pofq, both times in September.

We had about an hour to kill last time, after we were cleaned up/checked out.. We gave our luggage to bellhop, grabbed some ice cream and walked around the resort/ sat by the pool..

And that is how most of our trips end, killing a little time before boarding DME for our pilgrimage back to MCO. As hard as I always try to make the best of the last moments on property that dang Disney Depression of My Vacation is over starts to set in.

From the posts here this seems to be common....is that for real? That much of a later check out could be total bonus! :geek:
This is just a gut suspicion, don't quote me. But I suspect your ability to get a 1pm checkout depends on how many people are checking out of that particular resort that particular day and how many people requested late check-out before you do.

Yep, and another factor is number of checkins. The decision is housekeeping's to make. They have to adjust the staff workloads to aim at having all rooms turned over by the listed checkin time, which is 3:00pm. So don't plan on any extension because 1:00pm leaves little time and certainly not 2:00pm which really leaves no time. In the business, after checkout time the room no longer is yours but really belongs to the next party and the hotel has to be ready for them just like they were for you when you checked in.

Makes sense. After all, half of the resort could be checking out the same day you are, but if only half of those rooms are booked with new guests, they may be able to cut you more slack than if they were 95% or more booked up.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

And thanks @slappy magoo for the great tip. I'll probably do the early check out and quick bathroom change since we're going home on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and I bet late check out will be a no-no with how many people will be arriving for the week.

We specifically asked for it and I can't say the CM was thrilled about giving it to me but she did. We were scheduled for our return DME at 2:10 so I wanted to go back to the room and grab our stuff prior to after going to MK in the am.

I had a 3pm one once...it was during spring break. They had me store my dance team kiddos luggage in my room. I'm guessing they needed space in their luggage room more than they needed my room!
