Late Check Out At PC?

Usually on our Disney trips we have a morning flight out of Orlando, but for our upcoming trip next month our flight doesn't leave until 6:15 p.m. So the ME won't pick us up until 3 p.m. and check out from PC is noon. I was thinking about trying to take an earlier ME to the airport and then checking our bags and just spending a few hours at the airport shops; there are quite a few! Or we could request a 3 p.m. check out from PC. Do you think they would grant that request? Or check out in the morning and leave our bags at the front desk and go and do something until 3? What would you do with a "free" half day (until 3?).

I'd leave my bags at Pop, then go explore somewhere. We usually stroll around Epcot that last day before heading to the airport, but it's also a nice time to hit DTD and grab any last souvenirs. Just something to soak up that last bit of Disney.

FYI, check out is 11am.

Regular checkout is 11:00am, and the latest checkout they will grant is 1:00pm. But you have to ask, and the request is not always granted.

Check out as normal and leave your bags with bell services. Enjoy what you can at Disney until you have to leave...it'll be better that the airport.

Will you be checking your luggage using Resort Airline Check-In? If so, you'll be able to get those off of your hands right away that morning. You'll then only have to leave your carry-on bags with Bell Services until you return to the hotel to get DME.

In addition to going to a park or Downtown Disney that day, you could also stay at the hotel and swim in the pool. Just pack a change of clothes in your carryon, and use the changing rooms that are next to each of the hotel pools.
