Last year's October resort deals

We are planning a mid-October trip this year, but I haven't seen any deals come out past the end of September so far.

Does anybody remember what kind of special offers there were for last year during October? I know that there's no guarantee of the same deals, but I'm getting anxious to see what the room and/or package rates will look like for this year.

We are also thinking about getting APs, so I'd be interested in any special offers that passholders got last Oct.

I am also on the lookout for Oct deals, so I made my reservation (rack rate currently), and will modify the reservation if/when a fall AP rate is published. I go almost every year during Oct, and have always snagged a discount. The exception was last year when we went in Nov, so I don't remember what the Oct 2003 discounts were. I'm sure someone else will post the answer to that.

One of the site sponsors, Kingdom Konsultants, posted a thread about 2 weeks ago stating that she heard that Oct discounts are a strong possibility. Since the current discount is set to expire on July 31, chances are good that new rates could be released this weekend or early next week. Pam at KK is the expert, so you may want to PM her.

Thanks imamouse! I'm a first-time poster, but I live on the boards as a lurker. I also use Mousesavers and Deb's AllEars.net site daily...it's getting to be a bit of a habit. I might have to seek professional help soon!

So far their was one discount that I know of, the buy 5 days get 2 free deal. But I belive that one has expired 6/28.

If you look at the trends though, and if Disney follow what they have been doing, we may see a new discount in the next few weeks for October.

These are the current ones listed at Mousesavers:

8/1/04-8/28/04 package discounts for general public 6/27/04, exp 7/31/04
8/29/04-9/29/04 "available to anyone" room-only code 7/19/04, exp 8/28/04
8/29/04-9/29/04 package discounts for general public 7/19/04, exp 8/28/04

So if they follow the trend, we may see the next one by 8/16 for a 9/30-10/30 range.

Good luck, I'll be watching too. I used the buy 5+2 deal, and because we are on conciege @ AKL, it's still quite expensive. If the new code is better, I switching.
