Last resort shuttles

hi. So, I'm pregnant and going to WDW alone. I'm very excited to be staying on property even if it's *just* at Pop Century. My question is about the last shuttle from the parks at night. I've read online the last shuttle is an hour after closing. If there are tons of people, do they ever extend this? I'm nervous about being left behind.

I know there are taxis, but I'd still like to know about the shuttles. I do want to stay for Wishes and maybe even use a Fastpass+ right after .. But only if possible!

If you're still there, Disney will get you back to your hotel. There's no way Disney would leave you stranded at one of the parks

I've heard loads of good things about Pop and you're onsite so get the same benefits - EMH, 180+10 dining ADRs, 60 day FP+ booking and DME - as someone staying in a Moderate or Deluxe. And it's WDW!!! There are no "just"s .

If Wishes starts at "closing time" you won't be able to ride anything after as the lines for the rides will close at exactly park closing: if Wishes is at 10pm and the park closes at 10pm then you can get in line to ride right up till 10pm (just as Wishes is starting and queues will be shorter), but not after. If you are in line before park closing, even just a minute, you will be allowed to ride even if there is a wait time which will see you actually get onto the ride after park closing. Wishes will take about 10 minutes, at which point guests should start exiting. If you don't want to get caught in the rush you can sit and wait or shop. The shops on Main Street often stay open up to an hour after closing to entice exiting guests to part with just a little more cash before they go!!:D

If Wishes takes place before park closing then you can ride during and after until park closing, like if you have EMH after Wishes then you, as a resort guest, can stay and ride. Anyone can actually stay in the park as they have no way of determining who is and isn't an onsite guest, but you have to tap your band or card to the tapstiles at the start of the ride to get on (proves you are a guest as linked to your resort booking.) There are no FP+ during EMH.

Disney will not strand you. Buses run for a while after closing, even after EMH closing.

Have a fab time!!

Okay, thank you all so much! That makes me feel so much better. I went last year and stayed at a non-Disney hotel that provided their own bus. The friend I went with wanted to only get on the earlier bus to make sure we weren't stranded, so I haven't been in the park near close since I was little! I'm excited to see Wishes.

The Disney buses drop off and pick up right outside (well, no more than a few minutes walk from) the gates of each park. There are boards to tell you what bay to go to for each hotel. It's super easy!

there is always someone there to get a bus to get you where you need to go. We stay late in the park after closing, and there is always a bus waiting.

We ate a late dinner 8:45pm @ rain forest cafe outside of animal kingdom last fall. We were the very last group of guests to leave around 11:45pm (park closed @ 8pm, no extra magic ours). We walked to the bus stop hopeful we didn't need to call a cab, and to our surprise, there was actually a huge line of buses labeled 'to nowhere'.

As soon as we approached, a CM came out, asked us what resort we were staying, and he turned the nearest bus into our resort destination just for us. We were a party of 5, and we were basically treated like royalty with a bus of our own back to our resort.

After this experience, I would imagine it would be really really hard to get stranded anywhere. :D

Yeah they'll never leave anyone behind. One time coming back from dtd a family somehow got stranded at TL after hours and they had us swing by and grab them. I wouldn't worry about being left lol they take care of ya

Worst-case scenario, either Disney would pay for a taxi back to your hotel or they'd drive you there in a Security or Disney Transportation coordinator's van.
