Last minute upgrade

So I was asked if there was a reservation place just outside the park where you could last minute upgrade your package. Has anyone ever heard of this?

They said it was a legit Disney place. I know about the scams. I have been surprise upgraded before but by Disney before my vacation started.

Hmmm.....it sounds kind of fishy to me.
Do you mean to upgrade your resort reservation package? I've never heard of any type of location like that. As you mentioned, I have heard of Disney upgrading your room, we even got one once when we checked in. And I know that you can ask about paying more for an upgraded room, but that would need to be handled with Disney reservations if ahead of time, or at the check-in desk whey you get there. I wouldn't trust any upgrade that wasn't directly between you and Disney.

If you want to make upgrades to your Disney vacation package, do it at check-in.

If you've been told there's some place off property that can "upgrade" your Disney vacation package, that's not true.

There used to be a place in Ocala where you could get last minute bargain rates and we did several times. It was the Disney Information Center and we stopped there during every trip. Did get an upgrade there a couple of times as well. That could be what you are thinking of, but it has been closed for probably ten years.
