Last minute trips

My family have annual passes and we live less than a hour away. We have started taking trips to Disney at the last minute. We prefer to stay on site and normaly just stay one night. Does anyone know about any last minute deals or the best way to book a room at the last minute. I normally call 1-800-disney, which I know it is a premium when I do that.

Thanks in advance

We do the same thing and I have never really found a sure fire way to get better deals on last minute rooms at WDW. AAA rate is fairly easy to get, providing you have AAA and I have heard of some mixed luck with sites like priceline and hotels.com.

As of late even a standard room at rack rates is becoming harder to come by which has resulted in us planning most of our weekend trips in advance. About all you can do is let the CM know what discounts you qualify for (AP, FL resident Disney Visa etc) and hope for the best.

Dont you get a discount if you a AP member?
I live in Jersey so I do not know much about the AP but my friends had them a few years back and I know when they went down they got discounts on hotel rooms in Disney.

You can get an AP discount if they are available. The AP discount is not a simple matter like 20% of rooms, Disney will release AP discounts for a certain time period and a fixed number of rooms at each resort. Once those rooms are gone then you can not get the discount.
