Last minute resturant suggestions please

We are leaving this Friday Jan. 30th to WDW. I have been to WDW many, many times but we always seem to eat at the same places.

We are taking our 3 year old daughter who is a fairly good eater (when she wants to be). Does anyone have any suggestions on places to eat. I already have character meals booked at Ekershus for breakfast and Liberty Tree for Dinner. We also have a PS for Boatwrights at POR for dinner our first night and dinner at Cal. Grill to see the fireworks one night. The rest is wide open.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

4 more days, Whoo hoo!

try the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge...great fun for kids and you can get in without PS. Breakfast is my favorite.
Enjoyed the seafood buffet at the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club...great fish, but beef & chicken too & a good kids menu. GREAT desserts.
Had a nice dinner at the ESPN Zone after a round of mini golf...tons of fun.

Marrakesh was a new one for us (had lunch there) Yummy & belly dancing entertainment.

Don't see that one going over well with my wife.

I have heard Wispering Canyon Cafe is good. I was thinking of trying that one.

Thank you,
Mike

Boma's, it's great!:slurp:

All the food is really fresh and well prepared. There are plenty of choices for both adventurous and non-adventurous eaters. They have a kid's bar with traditional kids favorites and delicious desserts. You must try the zebra domes. Betcha can't eat just one!

The dancing wasn't all that bad, really. My 9 y/o daughter got a kick out of it; she and another girl about her age got to dance. None of the adult women would join in though.

Great choices, Madaline!
Cape May Cafe had some delicious desserts, their brownies were the best. Its very kid and adult friendly because the food ranges from mussels and oysters to chicken nuggets and cheese pizza :)
ESPN Club is awesome too, they have TVs at the table which can be switched to ESPN or you can hook up controllers (which I'm pretty sure they will give you if you ask) and play Playstation on them :)
Whispering Canyon is a good atmosphere, but it is NOT quiet, I recommend going there for breakfast, when everyone is not tired and in the mood for loudness

Here are my must do on every trip restaurants…

50’s Prime Time Café (Studios) – Good food, great theme and atmosphere.
Chicken Pot Pie or Meatloaf, smashed potatoes, veggies and a Dad’s Sunday.

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop (Beach Club) – Counter service, oldies style soda shop, awesome! Burgers, fries, shakes and Sundays, or with a group, try the Kitchen Sink!

Chief Mickey’s Restaurant (Contemporary) – Best character breakfast anywhere, all you can enjoy.

Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom) – Great food, great atmosphere, go for lunch. Beef barley soup, prime rib, garlic smashed potatoes, and chocolate desert.

Concourse Steakhouse (Contemporary) – Best steak in WDW, at a reasonable price! Steak, garlic smashed potatoes, veggies.

ESPN Club (Boardwalk) – Stadium food to the max! Dingers (Chicken fingers) & hockey pucks (chocolate covered brownie with ice cream)

Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom) – Downright awesome food.
Honey butter with rolls, and the pilgrims feast.

‘Ohana (Polynesian Resort) – All you can enjoy, great food, great atmosphere, go for dinner.

Toy Story Pizza Planet (Studios) – Not sure why, we just do! Pizza.

Whispering Canyon Café (Wilderness Lodge) – All you can enjoy for lunch, simply awesome!

Yorkshire County Fish & Chips (Epcot / UK) – Counter service, tasty fish & chips.

By the way we leave on Thursday, we might even see you at some of the same locations. We return home next Tuesday. Enjoy!

Tag along question.

Chef Mickey's - Is it a last minute option? We have an early breakfast reservation but we've decided we would like to go a little later. TThey're booked solid now. Has anyone ever tried walk up when they're booked? It's a Sunday morning.

If they're still full or if the waits too long would we have a better shot taking the monorail over to Ohanas?

Thanks all for your suggestions. I think 50s Prime Time would work well for us, and I would like to try to do Rose & Crown Pub outside. We did that several years ago for a few drinks and it is a nice place to relax.

I have some stuff set up already as I mentioned in the first post. I also added a lunch PS for the Crystal Palace Winnie the Pooh meal. I use to love eating there before it became a character meal only place. The last time I at there was on my honeymoon in 1993.

2 more days to go, pretty darn excited!
