Hey so I'm leaving soon for WDW (Woo Hoo! :sohappy:) and I had some last minute random questions...

1) Does Main St still have the party line phones? When I went to Disneyland there were a few that were still operational and also a window of a piano lesson studio that had audio coming from it.

2) Which buildings (non prefered) are best at Pop?

3) Any tips for MVMCP?

4) When do the Osborne Lights get lit each night?

5) Is the Kim Possible Epcot Experiencing still just in testing?

6) How long does it take to get from off the plane to hotel using Disney's magical Express?

Thanks! I'm sure I'll have more but these are the first ones that came to mind... :wave:

Most people agree Magical Express takes about an hour/ hour and a half, depending on lines, which order your resort comes up, to get checked in.

That's all I can answer.. Maybe I'll see you down there, though!

I believe the hat shop on Town Square still has one of the phones that you can listen to.

2) Which buildings (non prefered) are best at Pop?

I have stayed in the 50's building A, 90's building A and 70's building A and B of those I thought the 70's building A was the most convenient with the 50's building A a close 2nd.

3) Any tips for MVMCP?

Watch the 2nd parade. Also, make sure you enjoy the stage shows and special things about the party. Remember that Space Mountain will be open the next day.

4) When do the Osborne Lights get lit each night?

If I remember correctly, I believe it is around 6 or 7 nightly. Make sure you check the times guide when you enter the park for a definitive start time.

5) Is the Kim Possible Epcot Experiencing still just in testing?

No clue.

6) How long does it take to get from off the plane to hotel using Disney's magical Express?

I've never used it b/c I drive down, but I think it takes around an hour.

Kim Possible is still in testing, but on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, our family was able to test it. We headed straight for Soarin' when we got to Epcot around 9:30 or so, and there was a Team Possible member just across from the Land Pavilion handing out passes for testing. It was all quite random, though.

3) Any tips for MVMCP? Get there early (before 7:00 PM) and get the attractions out of the way. There is so much extra stuff going on that you will want to do instead of attractions.

4) When do the Osborne Lights get lit each night? They are turned on a dusk which translates to about 6:00 PM. Also do not miss the castle lighting at MK which happens around 6:30

5) Is the Kim Possible Epcot Experiencing still just in testing? still in testing

6) How long does it take to get from off the plane to hotel using Disney's magical Express? 1 to 1.5 hours.

Magical Express:

Has taken us at the very least 42 minutes, and at the very most, 90 minutes. Luggage has taken us anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours. Pack your swimsuits with you!

POP Century:

Just there in June; 50's building was perfect. Its own pool, near the lobby, and near the busses. Plus the giant Lady and the Tramp made it pretty easy to remember which way to go when you're exhausted after a 16-hour stint at the Magic Kingdom! :wave:

I can't remember for the life of me the hotel name at Pop, but there is a non-preferred building that, if you stay on the backside on floor three you will have a gorgeous view of spacehip earth from your room. We were able to lay in our bed and look at spaceship earth at night. Awesome...and at a value resort.....Gotta get that building. There is also a view of the unfinished "other" Pop, but the view of spaceship earth is amazing.....especially at night.

1) Does pop have inroom safes?

2) Will it be warm enough to swim or will it not get hot enough to get the water warm?

1. Am pretty sure that they do but they are quite small.

2. No way to really tell. More than likely an afternoon swim might be possible but the temperature does tend to drop rapidly once the sun goes down. It will all be up to your personal tolerance and the weather gods. So far it has been a bit colder than usual.

We just returned from an 8 day trip and had a great time. We found this phone at the Chapeau (hat) shop off Main Street. You have to go all the way to the back of the store next to the back door, where they are monogramming the hats. It's on the wall behind a Christmas tree, so a little difficult to find and to get the earpice off to listen to, but it's fun to do. The audio for the upstairs voice, dance, and music lessons can be heard outside that back door also. These are some of the special little details that make the World so magical!
2) Which buildings (non prefered) are best at Pop? We stayed in the 50s building, 3rd floor this trip, and had a great view of SSE, as well as awesome view of the Illuminations fireworks from the balcony at the end of the building (the one time we were back at the resort that early!). It's also convenient to the lobby and buses, and was considered a standard room. We only paid $54 a night with the AP discount.

3) Any tips for MVMCP? We attended this on 12/4 and froze our keesters off. The low that night was in the upper 30s. Watch the weather forecast for appropriate dress. Attend the 2nd parade, as previously advised. It was much less crowded, and you can use the time during the 1st one to hit attractions. Eat supper before you go and use that extra time to enjoy the party. Twas the Night before Xmas was so cute, and the last showing wasn't crowded (but it was after 11:00!) The fireworks were amazing, so be sure to plan for being in a good spot for watching them. :xmas: Have a wonderful time!

4) When do the Osborne Lights get lit each night? They came on at 6:00 while we were there. Take video of them to do them justice, but wait til the end of the evening when the crowds are down.

They do have hairdryers, but NOT coffeemakers. We always take a 4-cup coffemaker to get our caffeine fix while we're getting up early for EMH, or we'd never make it! :snore:
