Hello fellow Disney lovers,

Today is my last day at work before getting ready to see the Mouse :) . I was wondering what do you do the last day at work to further get ready and excited for your trip? I have finished all my special projects and am just on alert mode in case of something I have to handle today. So what do you do the last day at work to get ready to enjoy your trip?

I do as little as possible at work. I also make sure to taunt my co-workers for the last 8 hours of my shift.

Exactly what I do....:p

I usually finish the last-minute packing and doing laundry. Play with the cat, so she doesn't get too lonely while we're gone. Then, when DH gets home after work, we mow and clean up the yard. Helps with the anxiety so we are tired and can, maybe, get some sleep tonight.
We have just taken off the day before a wdw trip, and packed and left by noon and stayed the night somewhere closer, so we could just drive in. That only happens if we can't stand waiting any longer!!! LOL

We're self employed so my last day is full of making sure that the email vacation reply is done, phone message is done, all paperwork needed is done, mail is held. When that is all finished I start vacation. If it takes until noon than vacation starts at noon. But really it is doing all that for work and then the last minute stuff for home, get in the truck and head out on the road.

And if you can get a few things done for your return you do it too, because you will pay for the missed days when you return.

Warn everyone at morning report - "I will be gone at 3pm let me know if you need something before noon." Switch my email message to vacation message around 2pm shifting my responsibilities to someone else. Make a big reminder memo - with some pixie dust - to my team with things they need to know with a reminder not to call my house as I will be in WDW. I sing, sing, sing all the way home (the 40 minute drive I have) - pick up the kids at day care and let them scream - "We're going to Disney":)

The last day of work customers get what ever the hell they want. No questions asked!! Anything to keep the day running smooth and keep the grumpy people from bringing me down off my high. When my shift change comes, I toss the keys to the next person and say, "Do whatever don't care I'm going to Walt Disney World!"

Rewrite my list of things to do when I get home, look at the clock, dream of my Disney days, review my plans...repeat as necessary until I am in my car and headed for home...

My classroom is all packed up for the summer. The records are completed, and I'm outa there! I just don't care anymore! My students have already "checked out" so to speak, and we still have 24 days left of instruction AND the standardized test!
We have 9.5 student days left and my trip isn't until September and I've been Disney Daydreaming since I booked the trip. I've had 2 weeks of standardized and EOY testing, so no kids in my room since I'm Reading Resource...next week is RTI Meetings, all day for 4 days and then Relay for Life on Friday (small town and it's a big deal for ALL so school is pretty much gone on Friday). Final week is dedicated to the various grade-level Honors Day programs and EOY parties. Since my WDW trip isn't until September, I'm really looking forward to seeing my GS6mo ... we leave right after Memorial Day! :D

Don't you just hate those RTI meetings! We do relay 4 Life too. We raised 3,000$ through staff "events"/fundraisers that we do.:) Our "team" has already done it @ Shepherd University!
Have a safe trip to see your grandson!:D
