Largest Fleet.

I have hear that Disney has the LARGEST fleet of "sea" vessels in the world. Counting all the ocean liners, Farrey boats, steam boats, little craft at the hotels, ect.

This is out of pure goofiness (yuk yuk yuk!), but I ownder if thy also count the boats on the atteractions themselves (iasw, POTC, Splash Mtn, Maelstrom, etc)

Walt Disney World alone is supposed to have the largest fleet in the world - excluding rides! Think about it, it might make sense.. the individual Resorts, Bay Lake / Seven Seas, Ferries, Water taxis, all the boats at the Village, CM boats, Lifeguards etc.

Walt Disney liked to say after 1959 Disneyland had the 8th largest Submarine fleet in the world

That would be part of the "ect." If it floats in water. its part of the fleet. (from what I have been told and read a few places.) I'll try to find to sites again. It's been a few years.


And if you think about it. we're not talkign about just one park (which woudl be real close) were talking about DISNEY Co. From th eI'ts a small world boat to the cruise liner. From DL to DLP Thats alot of dang water craft.

Not to be picky, but I think if they're going to be ranked fairly, we should not count the attraction boats, logs, gondolas, etc. A real navy can only count it's registered and licensed vehicles - with ID numbers. If Disney can count logs, the navy should be able to count its lifeboats

I have, though, heard this same piece of trivia. I think it was in Birnbaum's book - perhaps.
