What is the best resort/package for a family of 6 adults and 1 child going the 1st week in December? I've completely overwhelmed myself with the options. Has anyone else ever gone with a group this size? The cheapest price I'm getting is around $11000 for everyone with deluxe dining plan(doing signature and character meals). :veryconfu

What does the $11,000 plan include - resort, deluxe dining and park passes for everyone? If so that actually sounds like a decent deal to me. I wouldn't complain about that a bit.

How are you doing the rooms - 3 separate ones? Have you tried a 2 bedroom villa? People will have to bunk together in bedrooms and use the pull out sofa but you can get that many people in. Saratoga Springs would probably be the cheapest for a villa that size

That's actually the price for 4 rooms at Port Orleans riverside, and it does include park passes with hopper and dining. I know that they won't promise connecting/side by side rooms. I don't think that will be a huge problem for us though.

Have you considered contacting a travel agent (Like one of our lovely Kingdom Konsultants here on the board? :)) It doesn't cost even a penny more.

Travel agents are able to look at several packages at once and are always on top of the latest discounts, etc.

When we went with my family in December of 2010, we were 8 adults and 4 kids. Marie was our agent and she was a lifesaver!!! She helped us stay within budget (and even went under!), helped us make 'tweaks' to our schedule several times, and even 'got' us free dining (she applied it to our trip the second it was released and then sent us an email telling us how much we saved. How cool is that? :D)

December sometimes sees discounts like Free Dining, room only, etc. So if you want to be able to just book and then not worry about it - I'd go with a travel agent. They'll watch for the discounts For you!

Either way I hope you have a great trip!
