Land owned by Disney?

I have some family living in Tennessee that had heard that Disney owns land there. Is this true? If so, what would their interest be in owning land there? Other than CA, FL, and SC does Disney own land in any other states in the US? Does anyone know why, or if they have plans to build anything there? Just curious.

The Disney company several years ago bought up Arlington raceway (horse)track in Chicago.Which ment they got all the tracks in several other states,one very close to me also.Not sure why they purchased the company but its a good way to get large tracks of land in major cities.Disney leases the buildings to still in some areas horse racing but most places are abandoned and only used for off track betting.

I'm not sure if this was ever finallized...but a few years ago Disney was looking at acquiring the land throughout the Summerfest grounds here in Milwaukee...For those who don't know...Summerfest is the largest music festival in the world.

I read about this several years ago,Disney may have purchased under another name.Not saying Disney runs the race tracks just own the land.Would be worth checking out further,they may have sold most of the sites or the deal fell threw.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that Churchill Downs is owned by Disney. Living in Louisville and attending school at UofL (literally within sight of Churchill), I would like to think that I probably would have heard about it. Something like that would make the news I'm sure.
