I heard a small rumor that they were going to build some ice skating rinks near WWS for hockey and Disney on Ice training.

Disney on Ice isn't operated by Disney. It's run by Feld Entertainment. They do all the auditions & rehearsals at locations they choose. Yes, some performers are CMs, but many have not worked for Disney before.
