I heard from an inside cm that construction on a new park will begin as early as 2007 most likely a thrill park:sohappy:

I think we can all agree that IOA has proven that while it is a great park, the concept of a thrill park is deeply flawed.ImaginerFigment said:

WDW needs to update MGM and EPCOT, expand DAK and get some new rides in the MK. All that plus fix SGE, renovate Pirates and Haunted Mansion, and upgrade Space Mountain before we need a 5th park!!!
As for the question about Pop Century, the 2nd phase is on hold indefinately. Until Disney can fill rooms without discounting as much as they have since 9-11 there is no need for more rooms. We will most likly see more DVC rooms in another location after the Saratoga Springs construction is complete.

That area had a lot of trees toppled during the hurricanes. It is possible that they are just clearing out the now long dead trees so that they do not become a fire risk.
It is very dry here for the most part right now and forests/scrub fires are very possible.

Agreed as well. A CM swore to me 15 years ago that they were about to break ground on a haunted hotel themed resort. Well, the land being cleared was a resort but I think it was Wilderness lodge if I have my timetable right. Nothing very scary there. Still like the idea though....
