land being cleared???

I was over by the golf corse next to Fort wilderness (eagle pines??) and across from there they are clearing out the tree's that are set back from the road. Anyone know what is going in there?

Actually that land has been cleared for at least 8 years. I remember seeing it cleared as far back has 1996.

They had announced several years ago that there would be a new DVC (Disney Vacation Club) located there. It was put on the back burner when they started seeing less guests. Im guessing maybe they moved it back to the front.

I'm sure that the story is still on the main page.

well today they were taking tree's out of there and there are also several new dirt roads around there. I'm not sure if me and you are speaking of the same piece of property. If you were to draw a straight line between the main entrance of the FW resort and POR it would be right in the middle of that line.

I'm not sure if it would be a resort but I guess it is possible, with the current area they are clearing it would be a small resort.

It could be work for the golf course. condo's would be nice there.

Ok I know where you are talking about, that area if memory serves actaully has a number of small pine tree's there now, but the area I'm talking about is farther east almost where vista way and bonnet creek come together.

I could be wrong, but I doubt they'd be building another DVC now. After all, they still have two more phases to build for the newest DVC resort, Saratoga Springs.
