Laguardia parking security

:) Seeming as the gov't isn't going to do anything anytime soon concerning the price of gas, I am trying to decide if I should drive to LaGuardia airport and park there for the week instead of getting a limo which will cost entirely too much even for one way. My question is, how secure is the parking at the airport, I'm not really concerned about the price because it would far out way what I would have to pay even for a van, which by the way would be at least 100.00 just one way. thanks in advance.

Its as safe as anywhere in the NY/NJ area, I have 4 cars and when I have to leave one at the airport I use the old 94 cadillac seville. Steal it, PLEASE. Just be sensible and use common sense when parking it-well lit, hopefully directly in plain view of security cameras. I had to fly out of Tampa during an emergency family crisis, I had my brand new 5 day old corvette and I didn't have time to get a security system put in it. I took out the owners manual, found the relay for the ecm, pulled it and hid it under the dash. There is no way that car would start without it. Most car thieves would just skip it and go to the next when they found out it wouldn't start.Luckily no one tried to steal it. The only car ever stolen from anyone I knew was a Hyundai Elantra so go figure.

I have parked off-site at LGA at Avistar which is on the opposite side of the highway from LGA. The reason I do this is because I am then guaranteed a spot and don't have to worry about the lots being full in any of the sections and walking any length. I have booked my parking through the following website www.airportdiscountparking.com where I have used the pre-paid option as it is cheaper. Avistar is easy to find and right off the grand central from either direction. They are a 24/7 lot and provide a free shuttle to/from the airport.
