I will be in Disney for a week beginning the Labour day w/e (sat, sun, mon), what are crowds like over this weekend? I was planning to maybe do Universal and Typhoon Lagoon over these 3 days and then do Disney starting the day after Labour Day as i hear the crowds rapidly deminish.

Any suggestions as i cant wait to get to Disney and not sure i can wait till the tuesday but dont want to battle crowds if it totally packed.

I think that is the same weekend as that family reunion with the radio/TV preacher and all his fans. Am I right...I can't remeber for sure. It's Tom Joyner I think. Anyway, I think the guy rents out one of the parks for it over that weekend. Of course, I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure.

I've heard about that Tom Joyner thing. I happen to be going that same week. Does that mean I wouldn't be able to get into what ever park his reunion might be in????????

From what I heard, they are renting out MGM one evening and they are having a private party at the Coronado Springs hotel, which is where the majority are staying. I don't know if they go in large groups during regular hours though at the other parks.
That weekend is the last days of my trip so I will also be there. I have never experienced such a large group going at once though. I hope it won't be too crowded, because I want my last days to end on a good note. I like to get in all my favorite rides the day before I leave :)

we spend labor day weekend on a beach. Universal and WDW are both very crowded. we tried IOA last year during the weekend, and there were 60-75 minute wait times much of the day. if you're going to any park that weekend, get there a half hour before opening.

DH and I will be there that weekend too. As for the Tom Joyner Family Renunion thing - just stay away from MGM on Saturday!!! That's where their parties are scheduled to take place (which may mean good news for the MK!)

I'm pretty worried about the crowds. Then again, I have been there in the height of summer too, and so I'm going to take it all in stride. Besides, if you get to the parks early in the morning and boot it outta there after lunch, it's pretty surprising how little the crowds really affect your day.
