Laboring Through with Our Magic Friends

Good Morning!

Fishy--I was reading back a little bit. Islip is a small very easy to navigate airport, but it will be a pretty hefty cab fare from there to Hofstra. It's usually a 40 min drive on a good day.

yeah - we checked into it and it will be around $65 -$70 before tip. Still worth it to avoid JFK though - DH is pretty adamant about that. I'm hoping by then that he has friends with cars that will pick him up for the price of a tank of gas....

Morning, Chris! How's it going?

It's going!

I was off for the weekend. We had planned on meeting Jay's family at the beach (they are staying for the week but we could only go for the weekend). Well Jay didn't tell me until Friday night that the beach was in Delaware and was going to be a 4 1/2 hour drive. To top it off he had to be back in NY for a 3:30 flight on Sunday. So Sat. morning we got up, spent 5 hours in the car, met the family for lunch, spent about 2-3 hours at the pool, played with the baby a little bit, went to dinner, played a game, went to bed, got up and drove 4 1/2 hours back. It was a crazy way to spend a weekend. Wish we could have spent the whole week there....it was like a tease to see the beach and see the baby.

His laptop hasn't shipped yet, but he's OK about going without it for a couple of weeks. It will be here in time for his birthday.

Mom's doing better today -Dad, not so much.....

Dads and Sons. . .
I don't know much about that dynamic, but I'm sure it's not without emotion.

That would be Dave's idea of a relaxing weekend....
