Anyone know about the exterior of La Nouba? All the signs are down and the building looked 'brighter'...

Paint job?

Curious.

There was never a show scheduled for today. The artists are off Sun/Mon/Tues this week due to the upcoming Labor Day holiday. They will have 2 shows on the Sunday of the holiday weekend next week instead of today. Just got off the phone with the retail area there just to double check.

Its a neat show...but I'd recommend to not get front row seats -- some of those dancers smell a little too funky.

Seen it twice, very fun. A nice treat.

ROTFL

You think I'm kidding? I'm serious. They should lay off the cheetos or whatever junk food they were filling up their body with.

It reeked.

No wonder the Cirque Water Shows are popular. "Yay, finally, the artists are taking baths!" "I'll pay to see that!"

The show designers know what I'm talking about.

la nouba

they are working on installing a new canvas on the building. they have a new one that will fare better in high winds, but need to make sure that the anchors will do the same.

Thanks, cool. Wondering what was going on -- even wondering whether they were taking down the signs due to high winds from hurricane season.

The place has looked funny ever since the tarps collapsed after last year's hurricanes. I'm excited it's getting fixed, i had lost hope.

I had section 202. they were great seats. i just saw them 4 days ago.

My fiancee and I saw the show Sunday night (9/4/05 @ 9:00pm) and sat in section 103 (Seats B11 and B12). The cycles scene was cool especially when the mountain biker came down the set of stairs right next to me. I looked at his face and you can see the concentration on his face. I wish you could take pictures at a Cirque Du Soleil show, but because of degree of acrobatics, stunts, etc. they perform, you cannot risk to have your own "Polaroid Moment" to have one of the performers go blinded by a flash.

If you're planning on bringing a camera into a Cirque show (ANY CIRQUE SHOW be it in Orlando, FL or Las Vegas, NV), just leave the camera in the car. Don't do it! It's not worth getting thrown out of the theatre (I saw "Ka" at the MGM Grand a few months ago and before the show, this one guy a few seats away from me started to take pictures of the stage and some of the actors coming out. Needless to say, the usher escorted him out of the theatre.)

The only thing I was able to smell was the cheap French perfume the lady sitting in the row behind me had on. Other than that, no smell.

From a CDS CM: they painted the building---plus they (the posters) were looking shabby from hurricanes, sun and wind--at least the ones that were left

So yes, it did get a paint job!
