Seeking advice. I know that the Cirque du Soliel shows have been quite popular all over the world, always drawing capacity crowds. I will be down in about a month and was hoping to get tickets for the one at Downtown Disney, La Nouba.

Has anyone on the list attended it yet? What was the wait like to get tickets? Can you get tickets for the same day or is it advised to get them a day or two in advance?

I sat in the left most green section... first row, aisle seat... even that far over, it was a GREAT viewing location... I definetly recommend sitting in the second section, as there will be times the performers use the aisles to come out. :)

Wow, did I get lucky. I called about a month in advance and got front row center without even asking for it. There were a few times that we had to look around behind us particularly at the beginning of the show but on the whole the seats were great.

Next time I would like to sit where you are talking about to get a different view of the show.

This is another Cirque show that is a must see. After experiencing Quidam and Dralion I had to see this one. Well I didn't purchase tickets in advance so I had to wait in standby. I sat in line with a friend for a hour or so and they finally opened the window. Being 3rd in line we managed to get tickets. We got tickets for section 104/front row/stage. It was great for many of the acts except for one. The trapeze act gave me a sore neck from having to lay down in my seat. Yes it was the perfect seat, but being a bit further back would have been nicer :)

ps...I took a backstage tour of the building while it was "dark." All the performers were on thier 2-3 week vacation. I got to check out the training room, cafetiera (they have thier own chef), a couple of the rooms, backstage behind the black screen, and the control room. I found out that a lot of work goes into one of these shows and it get pretty hectic too. Bubble mirrors at each blind corner in the hall prevent anyone from running into each other. Very interesting!

How did you get a backstage tour of the Cirque Theater in Orlando?

I took a tour of the Dralion tent when it came to Philadelphia because my mother worked for the show while it was in Philadelphia and she showed me around. It was very interesting to see how it works. I loved seeing the tech area (I am in college studing the tech end of the theater biz.).

I just read in the Mickey Monitor that you can save 25% off Cirque tix for a limited time if you're a passholder(seasonal OR annual). This is a great opportunity!!!

My wife, myself, and my in-laws vacationed at WDW in 2000. The 3 of them went to La Nouba one evening while I shopped in the Virgin Megastore. They refuse to let me live this down to this day! They constantly tell me that I was "nuts" to miss such a fantastic show. I don't doubt that the show is fantastic but the 2 hours of peace I had while shopping for music unencumbered by a wife tallying my purchases cannot be discounted. I'm a huge music fan (especially Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia) and they have an absolutely fantastic selection there...I was in HEAVEN!!! Top it off with a couple of cold drafts at the House of Blues and you can't go wrong. Glad she had a great time though..........
