La Nouba at WDW DTD

Seeking advice. I know that the Cirque du Soliel shows have been quite popular all over the world, always drawing capacity crowds. I will be down in about a month and was hoping to get tickets for the one at Downtown Disney, La Nouba.

Has anyone on the list attended it yet? What was the wait like to get tickets? Can you get tickets for the same day or is it advised to get them a day or two in advance?

Joe,

I would call and try to get them NOW if you can - the show is extremely popular. The tickets aren't cheap, but the experience is worth every penny. I loved it when I saw it - I did have excellent seats, but it looked like they all were pretty good.

Have Fun!

Meega, nala kwishta!
I also agree, get the tickets now.

We had second level, first row tickets (right on the walkway). Great tickets, great show. Well worth the money!

Cirque Du Soleil: La Nouba was one of the most jaw-dropping AMAZING shows I have ever seen. Without a doubt, the best show on property. Definetly, call now and make reservations now... can't hurt, and you'll get better seats.

On a related note... the cable channel BRAVO is showing broadcasts of different CDS shows throughout the week... check your listings for times. :)

This show is awesome!!! By far the best show I've ever seen pretty much anywhere. I took my students on a field trip to WDW in March and one of our generous parents bought tickets for everyone. The kids loved it too and they are teenagers...very hard to please. I kept looking back at them and their faces portrayed pure amazement. This show is well worth the price of the ticket, but call in advance---probably should call now---if you want to get tickets. There's really not a "bad" seat in the house due to the way the theatre is built, but I would avoid the seats on the far ends near the stage as there could be a little bit of stage sight blocked from there. The closer to the stage the better, but beware of sitting in the front rows unless you want to be pulled on stage and incorporated into the show:animwink:

My favorite parts were the strongman and the little asian acrobat girls with the spinny things. What was everyone else's favorite part (without giving away too much of the show for those who haven't yet been)???

I have seen 10 Cirque Du Soleil shows. I have seen La Nouba countless times and next to being a WDW freak I am a Cirque freak. I love the show. I always have no problem buying the tickets the day before. When you get the tickets ask to sit center stage in the first row of the second level of seats. You will be able to see everything with an unblocked view. It is a great show and it is worth every dollar. The theater has plenty of seats but I would get to the theater early. You can call and order tickets now and pick them up the night of the show at the box-office. If you are trying for the seats I told you about call now. I always see it when I go and after the show I go to Disney Quest and then to House of Bluses for dinner and then head for Pleasure Island for some after hours fun. If you want the good seats go on a weekday night (eg-Thursday)

Last July when I went to Disney with my daughter, sister-in-law and niece, we went to see Cirque Du Soleil for the first time. It was awesome, and that is an understatement! Do NOT miss the show, you will be so glad that you went.

In August I went to Mont Tremblant in Canada, with my husband, son & daughter, and there was a Cirque there too... my daughter & I raved about how awesome the Cirque in FL was, and we brought my husband and son to see the show. That show was incredible too... now I want to see Cirques all over the country. I hope to go to Las Vegas and see them there too.

There was a special on t.v. last week, on the Bravo chanel, and they were showing different Cirque's all week. It was sooo cool!

See it!

I would recommend getting tickets ahead of time also, especially depending on the size of your party... your choices of seating will be better in advance.

I've never seen CDS in all my trips to WDW but this year we are finally going. I have tickets for the 6:00 show this Thursday and I can't wait. I'll let you know what I think when I get back.

I have only seen La Nouba and highly recommend it! It is very impressive! do a search for Cirque Du Soleil and check their website too... they list all of their shows and you can see the stage at DTD perfectly there! It even rotates with your mouse! I can´t remember the exact address now, sorry...

My family have seen Ô in Vegas and told me that it has been the best show they have ever seen. I´m dieing to go and see it myself!

GO, GO, GO!! :)

Great!

La Numba is getting ready to go on a short hiatus starting in a few weeks. I'll get the dates later.

I like Quidam as well, it's another one of the Cirque shows.

Does anyone know if they change it? Would it be the same show if we saw it this year?
Thanks for the knowledge!

The Cirque Theater is still running La Nouba. I have seen it tons of times. I also saw another Cirque show there before La Nouba, I think it was Quidam another show also great. I like Dralion which I just saw a few months ago which was great. I have seen tons of Cirque shows and they are all realy good. The best is "O" in Las Vegas.

Just a couple hints that I've learned while planning for our trip the first week in June of this year:

Cirque at DTD is dark from May 23-June 13. :(

If you are planning to use your Magical Wish vouchers in your package for Cirque (not a bad idea considering the ~$70 show price), do NOT reserve tickets in advance. I have read stories elsewhere on the forums that tell of people not being able to use the vouchers this way. You have to instead just walk up to the window the day of the show you want to see.

Hope you get to see it! I saw a smaller version of Cirque Du Soleil called Cirque Eloize as it travelled through central Illinois last year. It was amazing!

We saw La Nouba last Thursday (May 2) for the first time and I have to say it was worth every penny and then some. The show consistently kept getting better and better as it went on. We had front row center seats and it was really cool to see the expressions on the performers face's (some fo them even winked at us after performing a particularly amazing feat).

By all means go see the show if you can manage it.

Here is a seating chart for La Nouba. Try to get in the center and in the first row of the second section back. Go to the ticket window a few days before the show to make sure you get these seats. Trust me they are the best seats (best seats after front row center which are very hard to get) you will get. I have seen the show tons of times and try to sit there every time. Also, get a giant pretzel, they are good for a pre-show snack.
