Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever used L&M Rental Car. It's currently the cheapest rental place I can find that has an in terminal pick up. If anyone has used them I would appreciate any feed back you might have. Also if anyone knows where I can find a better rate that would also be helpful.

Thanks

IME, Dollar and L&M were the lowest. L&M always has a shorter line, so they win in my book. I've waited almost an hour in Dollar's line.

We've rented several times with L&M and never had a problem. We've rented mini-vans (usually they are Dadge Caravans) and also Ford Tauruses (or is that Tauri?)

We tried to use L&M once and when we got to the counter they told us they didn't have the car type requested (convertible Eclipse) available. They were willing to upgrade us to a Grand Cherokee or some other SUV. Luckily we had also booked a convertible with Dollar and just slid down to their counter.

I guess if you rent a 'common' car this may not happen to you. But it never hurts to have a backup!

L & M Is Great!

I use L & M car rental every time I go to Disney World. They are consistently the cheapest and always have a short line to get your car. The last time I went, my rental car had 4 miles on it! Have a great time and be careful driving your L & M car. It may be the car I get next.

I have never used L&M before my most recent trip, opting for the "bigger name" companies, etc. However, when I ran into a problem wit hmy original rental car company, (my Driver's License had expired a couple of days before my trip, and they would not rent me a car), I walked over to the L&M counter, where they were courteous enough to help me out on the spot. The people were friendly, and the car was clean and nice (a Ford Focus, I think).

My only small gripe was that I rented the car at around 2pm on Tuesday. When I returned the car at around 4:30 pm. Sunday, I was charged for another entire day. Late for my flight (which was 4 hours delayed anyway), I had no choice but to take my receipt and leave.

All things considered, I thought they were helpful, and would rent from them again.

We just reserved our car for over Christmas with National/Alamo. Since my G&G work for Disney, there is a discount. Grandpa has to be the primary driver to get the discount but for $8/day, there can be a second driver. It was very cheap and the cheapest vehicle was an SUV--not a compact. SWEET! :)

BTW, what is L&M? I've never heard of them!

I mean, what does L&M stand for!

We had a situation with another one of the big name reantal companies. They refused to take our Debit Card as a form of payment without having a huge cash deposit before we drove away with their car.

A rep from L&M overheard our debate with the counter person, and escorted us to their counter where they were very helpful. Rates were comperable to what we were paying down the hall. We've been loyal customers ever since.

Check out their weekly rates too... often they are cheaper than the big names.

We've rented from them several times also. The first time we rented from them, I think, was in 2002. My dad had a problem with his drivers license or something (I don't remember what kind of problem anymore) and alamo wouldn't honor our reservation. So, we went to L&M and rented a mini van for less than what the taurus sized car would have cost us at alamo. Ever since then, we've always rented from L&M as well. They're cheap and right there at the airport and tend to have short lines. Works for me.

No problems here!

L&M has been great for me the last 2 times I've gone down. My father is a AP holder and he visits 4 times/year and he always uses L&M. It's a great deal!
