Kung Fu Panda is the best Dreamworks film since Shrek

My wife, seven year old son, and myself saw Kung Fu Panda this weekend in IMAX. I had very low expectations going into this film since
the last several Dreamwork's animated features have been lackluster
at best.

My faith has been restored with Dreamworks because this movie was
awesome. The animation was superb. The characters were well devoloped, mainly Po the Panda. And most of all, the story was well
told. I've seen too many animated films lately that don't have any
heart to them. Kung Fu Panda can even be a bit of a tear jerker at times.
I'm happy to say there are almost no pop culture refferences.

My seven year old, Noah, loved the fight scenes. I would definetely recommend this film to everyone looking to have a good time at the
cineplex this weekend, even if you don't have kids.

Oh, and save the $10 and skip the toys at walmart because the Kung Fu Panda toys at Mcdonalds are the same size.:)

Hated Shrek 1.

Loved Shrek 2.

Hated Shrek 3.

Couldn't even watch Shark Tale.

Madagascar -- Fun, but holds NO water.

Over the Hedge -- Dreamworks finally going somewhere from Shrek 2.

Happy Feet -- Can't be concidered with the rest. Not really a comedy, but FANTASTC FILM!

Bee Movie -- Oversaturation hurt this one. Finally saw it on DVD, was pretty good solid effort (we do watch the shooting of Pooh at least 5-6x when we watch the film).

Kung Fu Panda -- Best Dreamworks movie BY A LONG SHOT. It wasn't over Jack Blackish. Just Jack Blackish enough. It wasn't a heavy plot by gloriously executed. This movie easily sits up with the best of Pixar's efforts. I can't wait to have this on DVD. It will sit on the top row with Incredibles and Toy Story 2 as the must see several times a year shelf. I don't want to give any plot away, but for not having much of one, it sure knocks the one it does have out of the park! Give me no fart joke Dreamworks again and again and again.

Yep, it was outstanding. Not to be missed.

Jack Black can be good in some stuff, but terrible in others. I think his voice over work was really, really good in this movie. Within a few minutes, I had forgotten it was him.

Kung Fu Panda is easily on par with any of the Pixar/Disney works.
