is there an artists rendering around for the Kong area? With the JP signs gone and it being kind of off to the side, I'm having trouble imagining how it's going to look.

Haha I hope so. But from a few articles describing the ride, Skull Islands entrance as seen in the photo is supposed to be as realistic as possible for a facade. At least thats how I understood it.
Would that be the facade for the ride or the entrance to the land a la London for Diagon Alley?

Let me know what you get from this statement. Courtesy Hate To Fly @HTF in a post he shared a little less than a year ago on another forum.
"The entrance themed to ruins with waterfalls bursting out of the façade. It will feature a massive themed “underground” temple queue surround among more ancient ruins. The tandem entertainment guided EMV’s will leave the temple and head out into the wilderness. Outside will feature large AA’s most that we avoid as our guide shows us the way on our journey. We then enter the massive sound stage where we will encounter numerous AA’s, giant insects, projected effects, live fire effects, and a host of other live effects. We will also see one creature utilize Kukas for arms that attack the RV’s. At one point even our driver is captured and were left to fend for ourselves in the wilderness. The final and very large scene involves the big man coming from multiple angles on both sides of the RV. "

Omg. I'm drooling from that description. This ride sounds incredible :jawdrop: Also it seems like the facade from that picture is for the ride, not the land as a whole.

Those two things will likely be one and the same, as it isn't really a land. There's only enough room for a single ride. If the immediate area is dubbed a new island, it's only for theming purposes.

I really hope that we don't have a live tour guide. That is so 90's. I hate it on the movie ride, and it wasn't any better on Kongfrontation or Jaws.

I'll enjoy the live tour guide. Loved the skippers on Jaws. Gives more life into the attraction.
Beats screens.
To me tour guides can be great, but it depends completely on who you get. The last time I was on GMR I got someone who only spoke in monotone. Completely killed the vibe. On the other side I've gotten other guides that were great and seemed to live and breathe the role perfectly. It takes someone special to do it right and I hope Universal trains them perfectly for this ride.

Agreed. I Wonder if they could go a virtual tour guide? Like an interactive hologram?

Eh, I'll take a live person over that any day. A hologram wouldn't be able to create the same kind of emotion. It's just a one and done thing recorded by an actor somewhere. A live guide on the other hand could really act truly terrified which would be MUCH more convincing with them right there in front of you.

I like the how they do the tour on Jurassic Park. I hope Kong works the same way.
I like JP and the guided voice tour as well, but Kong the movie actually had boat Captains and Leaders soo we're going to have some guidance from a human. JP Was a Jeep not driven or guided by any one person. Thats the difference.

With technology now, each boat could have a different hologram with different scrips reactions. Key word here was Interactive.
lol have you ever been to the talking fountain in front of the Sinbad show? Something like that. Im only saying it's an option if they didnt want to do live actors.
I prefer the live actors but don't know how cost effective they are.
