Here now. No shipment. Out for two days. It's why we made a reservation. Just had a pot of water with my Tonga Toast.
What a bummer.

it's the Kona blend that Kona is currently serving, not Nescafe.
Although I love the 100%, the blend is better then Nescafe

The shortage was last year. This year they have a bumper crop, I heard. But the harvest in the Kona region of Hawaii island started a month later.

Maybe the new crop may not have made it to market yet because my favorite keurig flavor Tulleys Kona Blend is difficult to get.

They have been getting low on this for a while. They had stopped selling the individual bags, but now it sounds like they are out for the restaurant as well.

I would be totally bummed by that too. The Kona press pot is always one of our must do vacation items. I didn't realize there was a shortage/crop issue or whatever it is. The things I learn on WDWMagic....

We ate there on Monday and ordered the press pot with dessert and were told that they were out of the 100% Kona. Our server gave us the 30% blend at no charge, but it was not the same.

I went to Pizza Hut and was told they had no dough. I was at a hotel once that couldn't check people in because they ran out of keys.

Some people can't anticipate that a pizza place needs dough, a hotel needs keys and a coffee place needs coffee. That is difficult to anticipate. ;)

We faced the same issue last wednesday @ lunch. Was sooooo looking forward to the pressed pot. They had a "70% Kona blend" which was pretty good. Not what I wanted, but better than Nescafe. Maybe next trip... A reason to plan......

Almost all Kona blend coffee is 10% Kona beans and even then it is often South American beans presented as Kona. There are actually not very many places that offer true 100% Kona coffee but the Polyensian does get true Kona coast coffee. There have been major shortages and they are still trying to fill orders from the infestation of 2010.
