Kona or GF Cafe before MVMCP?

I'm planning our trip for December and looking for a dinner option before MVMCP. We're hoping to try some new restaurants this trip, so that leads me to Kona Cafe (we've only done breakfast) and Grand Floridian Cafe. We'll being having a steak dinner a few nights before, so we're hesitant about Steakhouse 71 (plus I've eaten there before). Would love to hear thoughts, experiences, and recommendations. Thanks!

You can get into MK beginning at 4 pm so I would just eat either at a CS or TS there.

Agree! Get into the park and save room to enjoy all the special treats. But, if I had to choose between GF Cafe and Kona, I'd likely go with GF Cafe (take some time to enjoy the resort decorations).

That’s our plan, except it’ll be lunch at Wilderness Lodge so we can see the famous lobby with its tree. And the boat ride should be nice.

Just the quick service restaurant, the Roaring Fork. Keeps the day flexible and easygoing, not being tied to a reservation.

I like Kona better than Grand Floridian Cafe. I'd recommend a late lunch and then snacking through party. Both stop lunch at 2 so something like a 1:50 reservation should give plenty of time to get over to MK.

I haven’t eaten there in many years but in the past Kona Cafe was great and I really like the atmosphere.

I’ve actually never been to any of the TS at Grand Floridian - only the quick service.

Roaring Forks is our fav QS eating spot. Although I saw recently they eliminated the meatloaf dinner from their offerings. That was our go to dinner meal. But the boat ride to and from the MK is so relaxing.
