The Indy Speedway cars. How do you make them go faster or how do you make them jump the track more easily. Has anyone ever been able to do this and how? I managed to pop the track one time, but it was by accident, because I couldn't drive well. Anyone else?

Um.......no. If that were to happen, they would shut down the attraction for 6 months to fix the problem. :animwink:

I think what MKBurn is trying ot say is that he got his car to jump the track. I have never even heard of anyone being able to do this.

I can't do it very well though. What happened was i wasn't steering very well and somehow I popped the track when I was going around a turn. However, I only made the front part jump over, and it popped back inlike, 20 seconds after. I can't really remember exactly what happened as this was a long time ago. However, what I'm actually interested in finding out is if anybody knows how to get the karts to go faster. Someone said on another thread that you could turn off the engine governor, but his friend was the one who turned it off, so he doesn't know how to turn it off himself. About the track jumping, I might not have even jumped the track, but felt a huge bump.

come on man, don't hate!

I've never heard of anyone being able to make them puppies go faster, course I don't work there but from what I have heard the engines just are not built to go fast at all, they have like 7 HP's or something LOL

I know them safari jeeps can take off down the street at like 80mph if there geage is pop

Ok whatever, I'm going to Disney this summer, so I'll figure out how to get the cars to go fast. Once I do, I'll tell everyone. AND I'LL SHOW YOU ALL  Muahahahha!

I doubt you'll be able to reach into the engine and adjust the governer while riding, let alone without a CM noticing you. Yes, it can be done, they can go much faster than they do, but you not only have to know those engines well, but you have to be reeaaaall slick to stand up and get in the back without a CM seeing you.

And yes, from time to time, I've seen cars jump the track. It's not a big deal at all, they can be put right back on, after a litte inspection of course.

Best Trick for Speedway!

Don't ride it... spend that 1 hour you'd wait it line while the 10 people in front of you get cars riding something fun!

Yep.
The original at Disneyland opened with no guide rail, and no bumpers on the cars. Within a week, they were down to less than 10 working cars due to crashes.

Oh so you have to open it from the back? THat sucks. I guess I won't ride it then.

Hehe is it possible that we've completely exhausted all interesting secrets and tricks of Disney that we've resulted to trying to find Spedway tricks?

How sad is this:lol:

I totally agree. Can't believe I even looked here. Thought it was a misplaced thread about racing. Ok Mr. Excitement, pop away and then start an even worse thread describing what"a blast" you had.:hammer:

Boy hopping the track sounds dangerous. Not to mention the attraction would close down. And the cars could go a little faster. I think the new cars atthe Autopia go a little faster now that they replaced the old cars. But hopping the track, I do not have any idea how to do it. Nor do I really wantto do it.

The car hops back on the track really easily. If you rammed someone while they were turning, then maybe the car will jump off the track...
