I agree, I saw a few videos, and it looks amazing!

I think Universal has outdone Disney yet again. :(

With some movie screens? Why is it that it's OK for Universal to use movie screens in place of animatronics but when Disney don't have an animatronic they are jumped all over.

Easy.
If Kong 360 were a stand-alone attraction, it would suffer from the same "Why no AAs?" complaints it would get at Disney.

But, since Kong 360 is just a 5min section of Uni's already awesome studio tour, it gets a well-deserved pass.

Imagine if Disney added something like that to the Backlot Tour at the Studios.
(Hard to imagine, I know...)
I suspect the complaints would be drowned out by the cheers.

I wasn't expecting much from this. I hated how they replaced AA with screens and I'm sick and tired of 3D crap being shoved down our throats...but I was pleasantly surprised. It was awesome! I was clutching the tram seat for dear life and completely forgot I was in the tram. Universal did a good job.

A side note, on my trip to Uni last week, I was reminded why I choose Disney over them. The only thing Universal Hollywood has going for them is the Backlot Tour.

If it were at Disney though, the fact that it previously used AAs and now doesn't would mean a certain backlash.

I think those vocal folks that find fault with Disney using movie screens in certain attractions are by far the minority. They just tend to be the loudest...and most unreasonable.

A couple of my favorite attractions at WDW use movie screens. Heck...one is a movie!!
