Kim Possible returning to Epcot

Trust me, from one who hates everything Disney Channel, you'll have a blast running from country to country activating hidden interactive EFX with your super sleek phone and acting like an all-around EPCOT superspy.

It might sound half-way interesting if you threw in the "drinking around the world" game along side of it.

Depending on how the tech side of the new game is going, it could be as early as the holiday season or as late as next Summer. This game won't be using the Nextel-Motorola model phones. The entire game will be upgraded on a scale that puts the test to shame.

Yippee. It's always nice to see Disney sparing no expense and doing the job correctly. No more half-***ed projects.

I think the question isn't: why are they bringing the game back? But: why are they still theming it to Kim Possible?

I'm not sure that anyone's 100% sure that it will be themed to Kim Possible. I don't think any of the filings with the OCC office specifically said that, they just said "interactive kiosk". And everyone's been using KP because that's what the test run was themed after.

It could always be Incredibles. Or Wall-E. Or Detective Goofy.

KP runs in reruns all the time if it wasn't getting ratings it wouldn't sell ad time and it wouldn't be on as much. The adults on this board are not the core target audience for this game. KP will sell to the tweens much better than Mickey Mouse or generic World Spy. IMO of course.

I was thinking either Pooh & Tigger (Super Sleuths), or, if it was up to me to choose, Basil, the Great Mouse Detective.

Actually, if it was up to me, it would be its own theme. The idea sounds cool, and I think it's better to make something cool associated with Epcot than try to make Epcot associated with some other Disney property.

Not that I think they would do this, but given that it's an interactive experience, it occurs to me that they could even let you choose your theme when you start. It my be a little tricky for the live actors, but it would greatly increase the replayability...

As far as installation goes, almost everything is installed already. In fact, China was the first to be completed and tested. Norway was next. All together over 40 "gamepieces" have been installed all around World Showcase.

Just out of curiousity do these game or set pieces blend in with the country they are in? I hope. I guess I mean are they made to look like it has to do with the look and culture of the pavilion or just standard kim possible theming? Im really not familiar with the concept at all so I wasnt sure what this really entailed.

Most of them just blend in with the pavilion and are in plain sight of everyone. There are some hidden items, but most of them look just like normal items until they activated and reveal some kind of clue.

(And why Kim Possible? Well I'm not an avid fan of the show, but I can't think of something family-friendly and cool that would be better....So I'd say stick with it too.)

As a mother of two tweens, I can say that Kim Possible is no longer "in". I am sure that they can think of someone else to tie it into. The game sounds like a lot of fun.

I think Kim Possible still has a big following.

There was such fan fervor over this, that it caused Disney to rehire everyone and put on another season after the show had ended. It could still attract a lot of people just from that.

In my opinion, They should use the national treasure franchise for the theme of game. the second one was around the world, no just the U.S.A.. I think It would have a lot more appeal. And If they are doing another film, they could really promote it.

I dont think the average wdw guest knows what kim possible is.

I've only seen a few episodes, but I'd pick Kim over Nicholas Cage and that mediocre movie ANY DAY.

Yes, Disney has grown past their Christy Carlson Romano phase, and is now focused on how they may use the High School Musical kids to their fullest.

When my soccer team went to Disney in September 06 we were asked if we wanted to take part in the Kim Possible test. They split us up into two teams and we had a blast, and the YOUNGEST in our group was 23. We did get competitive and we did sabotage some of the other families in the game but we really had a blast. At the end when there was a survey everyone did say that they would pay for this and I was pretty much the only true Disney fan on the trip. I'm glad to see it come back and if it is still Kim Possible, that's fine with me.

I think Disney is planning on this acting as the Kidcot for the 8-12 year old set...
The current Kidcot Funstops aren't really very interesting for kids over the age of 7 (if even that old).

My seven year old had a blast doing it for about 4 hours, and wouldn't stop until he was done. I saw many other kids older than him who seemed to be having a good time.

If anything were true, I would say very few kids under 6 or 7 would be interested in Kidcot. My 5 year old did it too, but was definitely not as interested.
