Any idea how long the soft opening will last? I'm heading to Epcot Sunday, and would really like to try this out.

I believe that it is soft opening now with a view to running through to full opening. Unless there are any issues, they will try to keep it going constantly.

Just took part in the soft opening tonight. Was very impressed. This is a seriously cool addition to World Showcase. While I'm certainly not in the target audience for the Kim Possible TV show, and in fact have never seen an episode, I still found this to be very fun and very, very cool.

I was able to play the Mexico and Germany missions. In the interest of not being spoilerish, I won't give anything of substance away. The game incorporates lots of new elements in the pavilions that blend right in with the rest of the theming. It also uses several major things that have been around since Epcot's opening day. The only way for a non-player to know that something is part of the game is to actually see the element activated by the Kimmunicator. In fact, there were several times when nearby guests were surprised by what was happening and asked what I was dong. Some things are very subtle, while others are a little bit grander.

To answer some of the above questions, the Team Possible CM chose both of my missions for me, but I think the system default is random selection (could be wrong). I got my initial KP Fastpass in Innoventions at around 6:30 for a mission starting at 7:00. I didn't have to speak to any World Showcase CM in the course of either mission.

My only complaint was that the Kimmunicator's speaker was a bit too loud for my liking, and I don't think the volume could be controlled. Also, the buttons on the Kimmunicator I used for my second mission weren't 100% responsive all the time, but it was still definitely usable. All in all, I would rate this as not-to-be-missed, and look forward to trying all of the remaining missions.

So Hank, would you play the same countries again or is it a one time thing for you? What do you think the replayability will be?

Some of the interactions were fun enough that I think I would play the same mission again some time in the future. Germany in particular was a lot of fun, with a number of sight gags. I want to play through the rest of the missions first, but I think doing a repeat would still be enjoyable, particularly if I were playing along with people who hadn't done it before.

It looks like a lot of fun, and I only wish Disney had done this sooner—like when this was still a hit TV show.

Agreed: They did kinda miss the moment with the Kim Possible theming, but the concept here is just outstanding, and I'm glad to hear that the game plays as well as I imagined it might. And the kiddies still know who Miss Possible is, even if she's not at the zenith of her popularity. The fact that there are so many different "missions" is a nice bit of replayability I hadn't expected.

If this goes over well with guests, I'd love to see them take the concept and try it on a larger scale with a different theme: A high-tech worldwide ecology mission at Animal Kingdom could be fun... though secret agent types saving the environment veers dangerously close to Captain Planet territory, and no one should go near that guy.

I would hope that with as sophisticated a system as what the Adventure must have, it is able to keep track of the serial number on the park ticket you swiped when signing up. It can then keep track of the missions you've done and assign you one that you haven't done yet. And then when you've done them all you then get repeats (maybe even a choice of available missions so you can choose the one you want to do?).

At least that's how *I'd* design the system... :)

Wow! I can't wait to try it out at Epcot! Hopefully I guess that Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable from Disney's Hollywood Studios will be there at EPCOT for Meet and Greets. I hope I'll be there to see them.

*Wishes they'd use the real Ron Stoppable for Meet 'n Greets*

I'm sorry...I know this is off topic and I apologize, but I have to do this.

MISTER FEEEENAY!!!

Back on topic, I can't WAIT to play this game. Thanks for the non-spoiler review! Quick question though: the test took you through different countries all in the same mission. Do you still go to several different countries for each mission, or are the missions confined to individual countries?

Each mission is in one country. There are 7 total, using 7 of the pavilions.

I did KP on Saturday and boy is it fun! I really didnt expect much but they got me hooked, i did 4 missions that day and got to talk to the opening cms who were very nice. They said they expect it to be like Crush start slow and then bam! its packed. I got so many questions through the day asking what i was doing and where to get one and etc. I got to do Norway,Germany,Japan and Britain and my favorite was Germany.

Hello, we completed our first Mission on Jan 23rd at 1:30. We had a BLAST! We thought it was way cool they way everything worked together. We even "snuck around like spies" for a bit. We had the Germany mission and plan to play some more.

We went to the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) welcome home Wednesday and they told us it was a special preview for DVC members only on Jan 23, 24, 25 from 11am to 7pm. We got rolling a little lat and did not get there until 12:05. To my surprise there was only 2 other groups on the bridge. We walked right up and a CM got us started and we got a start time that was 20 minutes away in Italy. So either they can really handle lots of people, or people really were not playing.

So far it seems as though everyone loves it.. I guess I'm the first to oppose.
I got the ticket and was so excited, and so we go to Italy and pick up our cell phones and it tells us to go to Japan. So there we go...

Basically the whole time we were just walking around trying to find a bunch of random things and then these objects do things

By the second little task we had to do I was bored. My family was bored. And the little 'beep beep beep-beeps' all around us were annoying the heck out of us the entire day! Everyone had those cell phones...

In all, it was ok.. lasted between 15-30 mins. For me, I'd want to try it out once.. and then it would be a one-time thing for a while. I'd give it 6/10. Obviously I'd say kids would enjoy it more than adults, but there sure were a few solo-adults going at it.. and they looked interested.

Spoilers for the attraction!:

for all those Japan mission-ers, the baby popping out of the top of the Pokemon shelf thing and growling was the funniest thing ever.

I was able to do China (For the First time) and the non-R&D version of France tonight. Guess it wasn't a DVC preview today then.

Anyways, the full-scale implementation is just as slick as this project has ALWAYS been, and not only is it extremely popular, it continued to deliver an amazing experience and, as I've come to expect, China was full of surprises and a seamless story told through the most unique fashion in a Disney Park!
