do you mean offsite? Im pretty sure kids dont eat free on disney property unless they are sharing a meal with another person, or under 3 at a buffet.

Quite a few of the offsite hotels and restaurants offer "Kids Eat Free" promotions but I don't recall Disney offering anything like that

Take a look at this website www.allears.net, it gives you the prices for the various restaurants. While disney might be a bit more expensive to eat in the parks, consider this, you paid how much for your park ticket and you are going to leave the parks to eat off property to save a few dollars. It's just not worth it. There are ways to economize in eating at disney. I know there is a thread someplace. But, eat breakfast in your room and then just leave for the parks, this way everyone is filled. There are toasters in the food courts and free butter, so you could buy Thomas' bagels or english muffins and toast them, cream cheese you have to purchase. The counter service in MK Cosmic Rays has a big chicken and rib dish which is great for sharing for lunch. If you do a buffet for breakfast you may not need to eat anything but a snack before having dinner.

There are many ways to save money on eating at the parks. I agree about breakfast before you go, we've always done that. Not only is it cheaper, but that is one thing you don't have to waste time doing in the parks! (We do one character breakfast while we are there though). I've been known to pack a pb&j type lunch w/fruit, etc a day or two while we're there and I've never had the security guys make me throw out food and snacks. So bring them!

Maybe someone who's done the Disney Dining Plan (Tables in Wonderland) can tell us about the cost and all that too. Maybe you can save money that way?

I have the Tables in Wonderland card and I have to say with the 20% discount you save alot, so much so that it makes no sense to go off property to eat, because it really brings the price down to where it's equal to chair restaurant entree prices. Figure if disney's price is $20 for the entree and you get 20% off, well that's really $16.

Also the discount can be used in certain hotel food courts, All Stars, Pop, FQ and POR.

While Disney is catering to a captive audience - at least there is variety, healthy options and quality meals to be found :slurp:.

Its not all burger and chips nowadays :sohappy:

Prices at WDW counter service are well below what other captive audiences pay, like in NFL or MLB stadiums. And the food is better.
