I did it with some of my family this past April. We had a great experience. Our guide was engaging and really knowledgeable. I have a lot of Disney knowledge and even I learned some new fun facts. I definitely recommend it!
I thought it was well worth it but I did it back in I think 2000 or 2001. Considering doing it again next year. None of the other big tours sound as good.
That said, the Marceline tour was similar but smaller and I think an excellent value.
I did it this February and it was well worth it. Our guide was fantastic. I'd definitely recommend it, and would even consider doing it again at some point.
Yes! Being an engineer I would love it they had a tour that went deeper into the technology behind the rides, but this tour probably meets the needs of the "normal" 95% of the population. My wife and I will probably do it again the next time we are there without the grandchildren.
Re: pricing - it shows a range - anyone know if that's determined by season (value/regular vs peak) Or is it set by the day - lower range weekdays vs wknds?
Hubby and I did it many years ago (I think it was during our honeymoon, which would have been 2005), and it was really neat to see all the backstage stuff and utilidors.
Well worth it. Our guide was very informative and very pleasant. Lots of background info given about Disney and the parks. Mostly things we knew but there were some tidbits about behind the scenes things we werent aware of. You will be surprised seeing the poor condition of some of the back stage areas, they arent kept up because not being on stage it's not meant to impress guests.
