Keys to the Kingdom

My husband and I found it very enjoyable, and we knew some of the information but learned a lot too. I really wanted to see the utilidoors for some reason probably because I wouldn't normally be allowed to. But anyway, if you are at WDW for a about a week or are a frequent visitor it is worth it.

I vote Yes! Husband and I found it quite enjoyable. As others have said, some info we knew but a lot of new facts too! And have Q's in mind - our CM seemed willing to answer everything :)

Yes! DH & I went on the tour on our honeymoon, and we both loved it. We learned a lot of new things, and saw some backstage areas that were interesting. We also had the best tour guide, Matthew. He was hilarious!

It's an awesome tour! I did it during June for my birthday. You get to see a lot of backstage areas like the Utilidoors, the Splash Mountain Water Resevoir, and the Parade Workshop. My tour guide Claire was the best! It's amazing, but be prepared for a lot of walking! ;)
It's 100000% worth it for any Disney Fan!

If you've been to the parks a few times I would say yes, do it. If its your first visit, I'd hold off. I really want to do it myself, it looks like a lot of fun.

The thrill of the rides and attractions are getting kind of stale to me personally, mostly MK but that's because it's the one we visit most often. I know its a privledge to be able to go to wdw as many times as I have in a short amount of time (8 trips/4 years) but I'm to the point I want to start doing other activities wdw/Orlando offers, I'm ok with missing the parks for a day or 2. Bring on tours, dare I say UNI or SeaWorld. Sadly though, my fiancé has other plans...which happens to be the same plans as always lol.

The tours are the part that are really making things new and refreshing for me. I love the mouse as much as the next guy - but sometimes you have to spice things up. The Keys To The Kingdom tour does a great job. There is a Tour in the Animal Kingdom that I've done as well that's kind of cool - the big perk was you go on the Safari ride without the whole shtick and you get to learn a lot of cool things.

Sometimes you just have to mix it up and find new things to keep the magic. For me, I think it's going to be taking the golf clubs on the next trip. Wake up, read the paper, play a round of golf and then go drink in the world showcase.

Yes, the one in AK does sound fun and seems I would learn from it as well. It's one I've been talking to the fiancé about too. One day we'll do them...hopefully lol.

As far as golf goes, unless its putt putt I've never played, lol. I would like to, I just don't know when I'd have the time in my personal life to learn how.

If you want to learn - best thing to do would be see if you can hit up a driving range in your free time. Start off there and see if you can rent clubs for the range - a lot of places will do this, even though most of the time it will just be a driver. If you want to get a cheap set of clubs you can find them a lot of times at garage sales, craigslist, etc. That's where I got mine - I'm not dropping $$$$ on something I rarely do.

Then go to the range and start from there. Some places that have driving ranges also have pitch and putt type set-ups where it's nothing but par 3 holes. Very beginner friendly, all you'd need is a 7-8-9 iron , a pitching wedge , a sand wedge and a putter. Then you can go from there and see if you can find a public course that will just let you play the front or the back 9. It's a big time investment to play a full 18 holes of golf. But 9 holes is a bit easier to sneak in on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

That said - I'm probably the last person to listen to as far as this goes. I'm horrible at golf....but I'm making an effort to improve.

My family and I did the tour in April of last year and really enjoyed it! I was a bit worried that I wouldn't get much out of it because I've been on many Disney-related message boards since about 2000, listened to lots of podcasts and read many many books about WDW. However, they took us to places backstage that I had never seen and even told us some cool things that I didn't already know. On top of that, we got to go down under MK into the tunnels, which I think is the highlight of the tour. So, If you're a Disney fan, which I assume you are due to the fact that you're here, then you definitely need to do this tour!

My family did it last year. We didn't find the walking excessive and don't regret doing it at all. It was a nice day.

Was it as good as we hoped? No but maybe we read too many Disney books in our life! There really wasn't much we didn't already know.

The utilidors were fun, though it's a section where tours go all day so how much of a "real" experience you get I don't know. Either way it was great to see.

Worst part was the lunch. Not the food but that they mixed the tables so our family had to sit with another family. Extremely awkward and don't like being forced to buddy up with people.
