About Tom Sawyers Island. Do CM's have to take the boats across to it, or is there a quick way which we don't see?

What if there was an emergency on the island? Those boats can take a while.

Reedy Creek has launches docked backstage, ready to respond to an emergency.

Also, although this has never been done, the Liberty Belle can be used to evacuate the other boards (TSI, Keelboats (when operational)).

Reedy Creek has 2 stations (one behind MK, one across from Carib. Beach). From there it's approx 5-7 min response time to anywhere on WDW. If needed, they can call other agencies (Orange County, Health Central, Osceola County) to assist (local law says that any available unit in the area HAS to assist if needed). Also, they have paramedics stationed in each park, with a long EZ-GO vehicle outfitted w/ a stretcher, and basic life support equipment.

in a way..

they are employed by the Reedy Creek Improvement District, which is the governing body of the towns of Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake (ie. WDW). It is fully funded by Disney, and all employees (notice, employees, NOT CM's) get the same benefits as WDW CM's, as well as a paycheck from "Disney Worldwide Services" which is the same as WDW CM's (or all CM's).

So, yes and no. They do work for Disney, but they don't at the same time

I remember my Once Upon a Time is Now training thing. I was so excited to be able to see how things work and learn every extra thing about Disney I could. I was also excited to see (what I thought) a part of Disney most people never got to see, the Utilidors. However I was pretty disappointed for awhile. It looked and smelled like a subway and it really took me awhile to get over the fact that Chip and Dale were girls who were swearing because they were hot and late for a set. Not to mention in Toontown when I saw Pluto's "body" laying in a pile on the floor. We talked with a cast member getting ready to go on for Pooh and as soon as he came out in costume we all forgot it was a person and he became Pooh. For awhile I thought it destroyed the magic but it really hasn't for me. It just helped me understand how to make that magic happen for other people. Just my 2 cents.:)

EXACTLY the way I felt and feel, Chernabog. :) As I said before, if you have the magic in you, it's gonna take more than that to ruin WDW for you.
