I am thinking about becoming a cast member and I want to become one of the tour guides since I know a lot about the theme parks. Does anyone know the best way to become one of them? Is there like an audition process since you need to know stuff about the parks? I do know that they go through training where they learn all they need to know, but I want to know how to become on of these guides.

Any cast current memembers that know the answer would also be a huge help!

Thanks!

A Keys to the Kingdom tour guide has multiple jobs in WDW. They are not strictly tour guides. They work for guest relations and some days they do tours, other days they might work at City Hall, etc.

Our KTTK tour guide worked in guest relations for 8 years before getting to be a guide. He's been a guide for 4 years now, and still works other guest relations jobs as well. If you really want to do it, you should try getting a job with guest relations and work your way up. It would be a fun job. :)

Knowing about the theme parks is not really the main prerequisite for that job.

The tour guides have a script that they memorize and as others said, it's not something you get hired for directly.
