Keys to the Kingdom Advice

Hi All,

I am looking for advice for Keys to the Kingdom tour:

1. What tour time is best? (8:30/9/9:30) / What are the pros/cons of each one

2. If you do the earliest tour, how early can you go into the park? (I've seen people mention that they've been able to get in early and even do some shopping...is that still possible?

3. What is included with the lunch (is it an entree, or is it a full "dining plan" style meal with a beverage, side, and dessert?)

Thanks!

I don't think there are any. Each one is five hours. The question is which one can you get, when do you want to arrive, and when do you want to finish. You said you grabbed 8:30 which means you'll be finished by 1:30.

2. If you do the earliest tour, how early can you go into the park? (I've seen people mention that they've been able to get in early and even do some shopping...is that still possible?

Go to the left-most entrance. There will be a CM with a sign that says "Keys to the Kingdom". They'll let you in before park opening for check-in. Not sure about shopping at Emporium but I was able to go the bakery for a danish and coffee. It was funny as I was able to watch "rope drop" go up Main Street while in the bakery.

3. What is included with the lunch (is it an entree, or is it a full "dining plan" style meal with a beverage, side, and dessert?)

When you check-in, they'll give you a KTTK menu for Columbia Harbor House to choose a main course, a drink, and a dessert.

The best part of the 8:30 tour is you should be on Main St. when the park actually opens and be able to see hundreds of guests emerging through the tunnels - there is nothing like it. Even our tour guide, who has done tons of tours, said she never tires from that sight. Have a wonderful time - we've done it twice & would do it again in a heartbeat - but only at 8:30!

We booked an early tour too, just so we could still have as much time afterward to do other things in the park. It's a great tour, my husband and I loved it! We learned a lot of new things, and really liked doing something different in Disney from our normal routine. Enjoy it!
