Key things to see /do at MVMCP?

First time attendees for the Holiday party, for a family of kids ranging from 12 - 1 years old, what are the "must see" events for this event?

Is there a "best order" to do things?

Personally, we try to do things you can't do during normal park hours. Catch the different musical acts, maybe some photo ops you normally wouldn't see. In the past we watched story telling ofthe Polar Bear Express @ Belle's theater. Located by the teacups. The later you stay the more relaxed it gets. The rides will always be there (we hope!), get some hot chocolate and cookies and enjoy!:xmas:

Im going this year too . If im at the park before the Party starts do I have to leave and come back?

No you don't have to leave the park and come back. Starting at around 4p, you will be able to get a wristband with your party ticket. They usually have the wristband station set up by rose garden which by the hub in front of the castle (closer to tomorrowland).

Don't miss:

Twas
Parade
Fireworks
and any of the special events going on around the park, storytelling, etc. those you don't see any other time and as someone said as the night goes on the crowd tends to thin out and you'll be able to pretty much walk onto most rides.

Definitely check out the parade, holiday wishes, snow on Main street and the character dance parties at Ariel's Grotto and at Cosmic Rays. Last year the characters at Rays were better, but it's less crowded at Ariel's Grotto. (Last year Cinderella's step-sisters hosted the one by Ariel's Grotto, I hope not this year.) But it's a great opportunity for character interaction, especially for the little ones.

There are also refreshment stations throughout for hot cocoa, sugar cookies and apple slices. Woody, Bullseye and Jesse were at the Horseshoe Review refreshment area last year.

And there are Holiday themed characters at photo op spots but the lines are long.

If you're going to stay late, catch the 2nd parade and make use of the lull during the first parade.

And, if you get there before 7, catch the Castle Lighting ceremony, it's pretty cool!:xmas:

Sorry to rain on the 'parade' but the one and only time that I went to MVMCP, there were some disapointments, and overall not worth repeating the experience for the extra outlay of money.

Thanks for all the replies.

We received the "ticket cards" in the mail recently, do those replace the wristbands?

No they do not. If you are going to be in the park prior to the party you need to get a wristband and in order to get a wristband you need to have the party ticket. The wristband will differentiate you from the regular day guest when the park closes, so if you were going to get on a ride line at say 7p when the park is closed for the day guest, you would need to show your wristband to get in that line. As the night goes onward, they may stop checking for the wristbands because after a certain time they figure all the day guests are out of the park. Even if you enter the park at the start of or a little prior to the start of the party they will even be giving out wristbands at the turnstiles.
