4 More Days!!! I don't think I could be more excited!!!!
Hello!
Please have patience, I have never done this before. I have been a lurker for many, many years and have been a member not so long. But I have always enjoyed very much reading everyone's plans and then trip reports. I will try to carry on in the same tradition and provide a very detailed trip report upon my return.
My name is Kerri and my husband, Stacey and I are celebrating 11 years of marriage at Disney World! The last time we were at Disney was in 2007 so it's been 8 years and the deaths of two precious loved ones since we have experienced the magic that is Disney!
We have a 6 day Magic Your Way ticket w/ Park Hopper
Arriving on Sunday, October 11 and Departing on Saturday, October 17
Staying at Pop Century
Dining Plan and Memory Maker
This is me (Kerri) and my husband (Stacey) in 2007:
We will begin our trip on Saturday, October 10. We will be driving from South Carolina to Daytona Beach where we have reservations at a beautiful hotel in an oceanfront room. I decided that I wanted to spend the night in Daytona so that I can begin Sunday fresh and ready to start our Magical Anniversary Trip!
Day 1 - Sunday, October 11 - Check in and Magic Kingdom
We are planning to get up early on Sunday morning and drive to Pop Century! We are not expecting the room to be ready, but I want to go ahead and check-in and then catch the first bus I can to the Magic Kingdom.
Fast Passes:
9:20 a.m. - Pirates of the Caribbean
10:35 a.m. - Big Thunder Mountain
11:35 a.m. - Splash Mountain
After Splash, we plan to try and obtain fast passes to other attractions and we will just ride however many rides and see as many shows as we can. We have dinner reservations at 'Ohana that evening. I believe that extra magic hours will be at Hollywood Studios so I figure we will either head back to the MK or head over to HS.
Day 2 - Monday, October 12 - Animal Kingdom
We have reservations at the Tusker House for breakfast. Neither of us have eaten here so we are excited, plus we will be in the park before it opens! So exciting!!!
Fast Passes:
9:50 - Expedition Everest
11:40 - Kilimanjaro Safaris (However, this may change since we are in the park early, we may try to ride this when the park opens.)
1:30 p.m. - Festival of the Lion King (I love this show, my husband has never seen it, so I can't wait to see his face.)
That evening we have reservations at Cape May Cafe. My husband loves crab legs and is excited that they are all you can eat! I have never eaten here and I am not a fan of seafood, but I know that they have other selections as well...I'm taking one for the team.
Day 3 - Tuesday, October 13 - Epcot
It's the Food and Wine Festival and we are very excited to try foods and drinks from around the world! I intentionally did not make reservations for an any meals on this day so that we can enjoy the festival. Rick Springfield will be performing in the Eat to the Beat Concert Series and I couldn't be more excited. Well I guess I could, if it were Bruce Springsteen. But I love Rick Springfield, too! I was a teenager the last time I saw him in concert, Corey Hart opened for him! And, yes, we had our "sunglasses on at night"! For those old enough to get that reference! LOL
Fast Passes:
9:20 a.m. - Soarin
10:35 a.m. - Turtle Talk w/Crush
12:15 p.m.- Spaceship Earth
Day 4 - Wednesday, October 14 - Hollywood Studios / Epcot
We have reservations at 'Ohana for breakfast and then we will head over to Hollywood Studios. However, this is the one of two days that may change because I'm just not too sure what I want to do. If I don't know now, then I am sure that this is one that may change at the last minute. However, I did go ahead and make fast pass reservations.
1:15 p.m. - Muppet Vision 3D (Though I am not sure that I need a fast pass for this.)
4:10 p.m. - Toy Story Mania (This is the only reservation I could get that made any sense this day.)
5:50 p.m. - Voyage of the Little Mermaid (However, I suspect this may be closed by the time we go.)
Day 5 - Thursday, October 15 - Epcot / Hollywood Studios
Again another day that I am not sure of. The one thing I am sure of is we will be eating at Mama Melrose's in conjunction with Fantasmic. So we will end up in HS. Epcot's EMHs are that night so we may take the Friendship boat back to Epcot. Who knows?
Day 6 - Friday, October 16 - Magic Kingdom and OUR ANNIVERSARY!
This day is our anniversary and our last full day at Disney! Happy and Sad!! Beauty and the Beast is my all-time favorite movie so we have evening reservations at Be Our Guest for our anniversary dinner. This is a special anniversary, we have been through a lot this past year, most notably, I lost my mother to lung cancer and we had a really tough time. But things are better and we will be celebrating.
Fast Passes:
9:00 a.m. - Haunted Mansion
10:00 a.m. - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
11:45 - Peter Pan's Flight
Day 7 - Saturday, October 17 - Last Day (So So So Sad)
We have reservations at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and then we head home.
So these are my plans. Any thoughts? We have 59 days to go and I am so excited! I have been counting down the days since 229.
