Kali River Rapids

Kalis worst problem unfortunately is not it'd near lack of theming and broken/disabled effects but it's raw layout sucks. It is short and the one drop is suck. There's nothing exciting about it.

That ride is so terrible that I've ridden it, and totally forgot it existed until I was reminded of it by this thread.

I feel like they'd be almost better off building something totally different in that space in the future.

They really should have made it more like DCA's Grizzly River Run. It's basically the same concept, but that ride is like twice as long as KRR; which is weird because it gets WAY hotter in FL than CA. So, why they thought it was a good idea to put the longer water ride in CA is beyond me???

My son and I always say that when we get off KRR. Haven't been back to DL since 2008 but we both remember GRR to be just so much more fun because it was a longer ride with more rapids and drops.

You don't get wet enough? My family and I have had to leave DAK to change back at our resort 4 times before, after we got completely drenched on KRR. You must be lucky, I guess;)
I have to admit for some reason on water rides I rarely get wet. people hate me. Compared to Popeye over at IOA, I just think KRR is too short and there aren't enough dumpings of water. I did get drenched once though but the best was watching my 3 year old son get every single water feature. Father of the Year?? hahahah

Kali is way too short and the theme is way too depressing. I suppose keeping it short saved money in construction and keeps the ride capacity up, but it really is a disappointment.

Well when I'm in the wet seat that got waved over and I'm sitting soaked through, I'm glad its short but when I'm sitting dry I'm complaining its too dull and too short a ride. They should retheme it ANNNND arrange somehow to give all the passengers a good dousing multiple times.

My name here is NOT a random selection of letters, though I probably should have been SplashKali, my two favorite rides at WDW. When everything is working (and that's been a while) it was a fine ride. EXCEPT, it IS way TOO Short!. Yes, the story does get lost from the line onto the attraction. But the main problem is the short ride. I would guess that saved $$ during construction, in addition to creating more turnover. Back in the day, we have ridden this thing as many as 7 times in a row first thing in the morning without having to even get off. But that was a long time ago. Our usual plan of attack here is to wear bathing suits and T-shirts and leave clothes for the rest of the day in a locker. Once we've finished, we get our clothes, go to the rest room, dry off, and get back to park. And for those who don't get wet enough, you are most unfortunate. Most of the people get wet in that 1 (only) drop. Several people are drenched. So, I love it, just wish it lasted longer!.
