Kali River Rapids - small children

The latest edition of a Brits Guide To Orlando says that some of the rafts on Kali have adult and child seats that let smaller children ride. Is this still the case? If so can you wait at the front of the queue for the next one to arrive? Also if it is true how small can your child be (my daughter will be nearly 3 and around 37 inches)?

I don't know about different rafts...but according to the main WDW site, the height requirement is 38" so you're cutting it close! Maybe she will grow by your next trip.

My daughter rode at three years old. But make sure she meets the height requirment. It's no different from any other circular raft ride at any other theme park. I will say you will get wet and you may get soaked. Enjoy!

There are actually 2 height requirements on Kali. They are 38" and I believe 35" or 36". If your child measures between the higher and lower heights he/she will be able to ride but it will be in a special seat with a lap bar.

If you look in the image below you can see the lap bar (not in use) on the seat with the kid wearing the baseball hat.

and finally an image of it actually in use.

You truly do learn something new every day on here. :)

(Not that I'll have any need for this myself, but it's good to know for those times when I'm helping a friend or co-worker plan a trip)

Slightly off topic: I think there was a time when I rode Kali where I didnt get wet at all. I dont know how it happened, but I dont remember getting wet, if I did, it was very little. I wasnt complaining, Im not a big fan of getting soaked on water rides anymore.

The only reason I know it my youngest daughter is a thrill ride junkie and a bit on the short side. We have done weekend trips solely because she finally hit a height requirement. Kali was one of the first thrill rides she was able to get to do due to that special seat.

It seems like there will be 2 to 4 people on Kali that will really get wet. They will be the ones at the front of the raft at the bottom of the drop. I am typically that guy so much so that my kids will not even sit next to me on that ride.
